No way, Venusaur is better. And as for Meganium:

I found that pretty useful (especially against Crasher Wake), because it activates Overgrow easily.

But Venusaur has that weakness to Psychic and a halfway weakness to Ground.

And Torterra gets STAB Earthquake. :D

But in terms of looks, Venusaur looks so much better. Flower > Tree

But Torterra has a 4x weakness to Ice, and the same number of weaknesses as Venusaur. And a halfway weakness to Grass.

And Venusaur gets STAB Grass Knot, Energy Ball, Solarbeam, Frenzy Plant and Power Whip. :D

Venusaur is the most used UU and what do you call Sceptile? The worst? I picked Blaziken but still? Sceptile? MR. Attack and Speed?

Then again, I adore Ivysaur, and think they ruined it with Venusaur. >; Looks like a big mix of a cat and a frog, which kind of creeps me out. BUT that's just my oppinion. ;U

Sceptile is a very useful Pokemon, but he misses out on some key attributes Venusaur has which makes him less viable in the UU environment. Namely, STAB Sludge Bomb, Power Whip, SLEEP POWDER, and bulk.

Believe it or not, Sceptile is actually more viable in OU.

Torterra hands down.

Immunity to a overused type (Electric)
Looks cooler
and its a turtle...with a forest on its back, how cool is that?

torterra looks just ridiculous but i like its name origin

Looks: as cool as the toad theme is (that's what Venusaur is right?) i have to go with Torterra in the end

Overall usefullness/A battle between the two: I lumped these together because its about competitive reasons. I think it's been well established by now that Venusaur wins here.

General awesomeness: Giant turtle vs giant toad... i see no clear winner there because giants are just cool. Although in generic mountain tree vs palm tree, palm tree wins, so Venusaur

I have great memories of Venusaur of Red, Blue and LeafGreen but I still prefer Torterra. Torterra looks cool and has better movepool. And it's typing is great <3

What I meant was that all of the aforementioned Venusaur moves can plow throgh Torterra like a knife slicing through cheese because of STAB, their BP and both Pokemon's respective stats. The only move Torterra has that can do the same to Venusaur is Earthquake (and lol!Earth Power), but he's got the disadvantage of being slower.

You try hitting Venusaur with STAB Wood Hammer. See what happens.

I like venusaur's looks better.
