Venusaur vs Torterra

Torterra.....looks cooloer

Voted Venusaur.

I prefer Torterra and I think its really cool. Firstly, Torterra shares a species name with a Legendary Pokemon. Another thing I noticed was, people kept saying in speed, Venusaur easily defeats Torterra, but Torterra has access to Rock Polish.
Being related to the world turtle concept and being able to tackle its weaknesses with the Ground STAB attacks, makes it really appealing. Both are really good, although I just prefer Torterra more than Venusaur over all.

Two things I'd like to correct you on:

1) the Speed issue: Naturally, Venusaur has higher speed than Torterra, so in a battle Venusaur would Grass Knot, Torterra would polish then EQ's but Venu survives and KO's with GK. Venu wins. If Torterra outright attacks and doesn't Polish, Venusaur is faster and wins. If Torterra SD's, Venusaur attacks and still wins. No matter what way you spin it, Venusaur wins.

2) Torterra's Ground typing only handles his Fire and Poison weaknesses. It's still weak to Bug, Flying and Ice. Not to mention that it loses a very valuable resistance to Water in the process.

I say torterra. I like its design and movepool better.

I prefer Torterra. I really don't like the Bulbasaur line in terms of design, while the Turtwig line is one of my favorites. And stat/move-wise... I don't know, I honestly don't care about those types of things. =P

Voted for Torterra. Simply because it looks better in design. I've had bad luck with the Bulbasaur line.

I don`t really care for grass types since my fire and dragon types would kill them, but i say Torterra would win.

They're both great. I like Torterras typing better though.

Venusaur, because of bulbasaur and his powders would render torterra useless. yet it would not be an easy battle to win.

Probably the land turtle.

Voted for Venusaur because I like its design more and I have actually used one on my main team.

Torterra, because since Venusaur is part poison type, STAB Earthquake will do wuite amount of damage to it, all though I will still say that Torterra will win, because it's awesome!
