He is, and I do, but more than that, I want to be fair. If I'm comparing all the Starters to their Isshu counterparts, the logical thing to do is include Venusaur in there. Whatever the poll results, I'll know the truth. Venusaur will pwn Jaroda 100% of the time. He will always be #1 in my book, so the poll results are interesting to look at, but arbitrary.

Venusaur, of course! It evolves from Bulbasaur. What more does it need?

I voted Jaroda before the second post came, but I am not sure if I want to respond immediately.

Anyway, I went to look at Jaroda's movepool as soon as I see the pool, and I am intrigued that Jaroda learns Mirror Coat (by breeding). Well, you might be wondering, so what? In theory, Jaroda responds to Venusaur's Sludge Bomb with a 1HKO, and I believe that Jaroda can survive the hit with those defences. Checking the movelist again, I didn't see any physical super effective move that Venusaur can use on Jaroda, so physically, Jaroda's safe.

If Jaroda uses Mirror Coat, it doesn't use Taunt, if it doesn't use Taunt, Venusaur puts it to sleep. If Jaroda uses Taunt, it doesn't use Mirror Coat. Venusaur 1-2HKO's it with Sludge Bomb before Mirror Coat can activate. Also, Venusaur doesn't need a physical super effective move when it can just SD up and tackle you with Return/Double Edge. Good show, but in most cases, Venusuaur still comes out on top.

That's a really hard choice to make but for some reason I've went totally off Jaroda. I think, battle-wise, Venusaur is the superior Pokémon. If they went up against each other I think Venusaur would have it nailed.

Voted for Venosaur though, from what I've seen so far he's more useful overall.

I expected your response/objection (who doesn't?), but I feel that it's 50:50, not 100:0 in Venusaur's favour (like you make it out to be), but I know you are biased, so I can't really convince you anyway.

Eh, we'll just agree to disagree, yeah?

I must point out though, that using Mirror Coat is a very situational move and that, due to Jaroda's lack of reliable recovery, it's damn near wasted on him. Venusaur's options are more wide ranged and have multiple uses. Jaroda's only real use of Mirror Coat would be to (somewhat) sort of, kind of deal with Venusaur himself. So, in general, you probably don't want Mirror Coat on your Jaroda. Regardless, if we're assuming you are using the move just to counter Venusaur, I still don't think Jaroda can even things out with just Mirror Coat. It wouldn't be 100:0, but it would also not be 50:50. I'd say it'd be something more akin to 75:25, Venusaur's favor. But that's just my opinion.

Venusaur hands down. Jaroda might have a cooler design, but Venusaur could massacre him.

Jaroda is just ugly, and its moveset, bleh.

Venusaur. It has Sleep Powder and it learns Earthquake. Also, because I like Bulbasaur over Tsutarja.

Like 'em both, but I'm going with Venusaur, for Kanto pride and because Jaroda is pure Grass. The Snake does look badass though, I'll give it that.
