Know what? I think I'm just going to pit Serperior against all the Grass Starters and see what happens, 'kay?

So, we already have him against Sceptile. This time, Serperior, the latest Grass Starter, is pit against Venusaur, the first.

Not much more to say here. You know the drill:

Which do you prefer?

Which is more useful?

Who'd win in a fight?

As you all must know by now, I'm highly biased here. Venusaur gets my vote hands down. He's my favorite Pokemon after all. Also, he'd wipe the floor with Serperior. Sludge Bomb would destroy it, despite it's base 95 defenses. And, if Serperior doesn't Taunt it in the first turn, Venusaur can put it to sleep and take his sweet time. Add the noticeable LACK of bulk (low HP) Serperior has, and the fact that the snake can't touch Venusaur (his best moves are 4x resisted) and it's pretty clear who wins here. Serperior still looks boss though.

Jaroda wins for me design-wise, but in a battle, there's no question: Venusaur murders the snake.

VENUSAUR! Nuff said.

Venusaur because STAB Sludge Bomb = Dead Grass Snake.

Jaroda looks cooler though.

I like Jaroda beter Venusuar Never appeled to be at all (Considering I really only like the Charizard line in Kanto) Bu tI guess your right about Venusuar winning. But both are th emost versitile starters Venusuar is a good wall and Tank while Jaroda can double as a Sweeper/Wall with Calm-Mind/Coil.

And both can be pains (Perversity Jaroda -shudder-) Vensuar has good defense and ca pu tyou to sleep Jaorda can spam Coil-Calm-Mind which not only raises hi ssub-par offense stats but his already high Defesive stat s combined with Rest/Leech-Seed You'd be hard pressed to get him to low health

Both are useful in their own ways I guess but Jaroda appels t me more

Haven't had the chance to try a Venusaur yet, but I'll have to say Jaroda appeals to me more, too. I haven't tried using it in battle yet either, but I imagine trapping my opponent with Leech Seed and then slowly power-up with either Calm Mind/Coil and taking out the rest of the team with my boosted Giga Drain (75BP); which will also come in handy when I'm low on health... Overgrow?)

Don't know who'd win a battle, though. Venusaur does have STAB Poison, so I'll go with that.

Venusaur. My first favourite pokémon (before I met Sceptile) ^^

Jaroda for sure.

Venusaur. I don't like Jaroda, even with Perversity+Leaf Storm. Venusaur has a lot more potential, plus it looks really fearsome. Plus, Venusaur was the original Grass starter. Can't beat that.

Also, in Stadium 1 or 2, look in his bloodhsot eyes and despair.

Jaroda. I much prefer its design.

Venusaur would win easily. Also, Envoy, why have you set up Venusaur for failure? All the noobs are just going to be like "derp Jaroda looks kinda cool but is shit in battle I'll vote for it herp-a-derp".

Because Jaroda will win. I thought Venusaur was your favorite Pokemon, don't you want it to win?
