That bit of randomness aside...

Who has the better design?

Probably Salamence. Garchomp's awesome, and it certainly looks fearsome, but Salamence also looks very fearsome, and it's much more dragon-like. Besides, those decorations on the sides of its head are just awesome. This one goes to Salamence.

Who is more awesome and stronger?

Salamence can certainly do more, since it has Dragon Dance and great Special Attack to go with that massive Attack. However, Garchomp's stronger for a number of reasons: better Speed, better offensive and defensive typing, and as a result of the latter, better staying power. It's also very strong in Sandstorm. Garchomp wins this one.

Who is your choice?

I'm a little torn here, but I'll give victory to Garchomp. One, I'm a big fan of competitive performance, and Garchomp performs well. Two, it's a freakin' shark dragon! That certainly has my attention and admiration.

Just to personify the rivalry between the two, lol

I didn't like Garchomp at first, but its design has really grown on me. Salamence just makes me sad that Dragonite is outclassed. I'm gonna give it to the land shark!
