Typhlosion vs Enbuoo
VS
Okay, Fire types. Let's start with Johto, shall we? Typhlosion versus Emboar. I don't really like most Fire types much, so I'll keep these short.

I don't care about battle statistics, I'm voting for Typhlosion on principle. I mean, really? THIRD FIRE/FIGHTER IN A ROW? AW HELL NO. Besides, Typhlosion's actually my second favorite Fire Starter.
I hate Enbuoo. Worst starter and starter evolution in existence.
Enbuoo for me. As boring as having a 3rd Fire/Fighting Starter in a row is, I won't deny they all have had pretty cool designs, and Enbuoo is no exception. Plus, it looks like it packs quite a punch, and has the Movepool to back up its Stats and even make up for its shortcomings. Typhlosion has no such luxuries. In fact, Typhlosion keeps on failing with his abysmal Special Movepool.
Plus, I can forgive a repeated Type easier than I can forgive the exact same Base Stats and allocations as another Pokémon. Typhlosion is Charizard, but with all else that makes Charizard fairly good, removed. To this day, he gets no redemption. The design is better than Charizard's, but Typhlosion has no saving graces, as Charizard does. His only advantage is 25% damage from Stealth Rock, as opposed to 50%. Flash Fire is great, but it'd be cool if Typhlosion got something else to use his better Stats to make him stand out from all the other Fire Starters (All of which are way better than he is), besides Eruption.
But even then, I actually like Enbuoo, despite his Type. His design is great, and he's pretty damn tough at a glance.
Enbuoo. Typhlosion's (special) movepool is simply awful.
Embuoo. Who cares if it's the third fire/fighting type? Okay, another type would've been much better, but a huge flaming boar is much better than whatever Typhlosion is. Embuoo also has a better movepool and the better stat distribution.
Typhosion, but only because Enbuoo sucks more. Blaziken FTW ^_^
Typhlosion has a terrible move pool and the exact same stats as Charizard.
But Enbuoo sucks even more for being a rip off and a rip off of a rip off. So Typhlosion.

Typhlosion, my very first Pokemon ever gets the vote. Its pretty decent before Gen IV where its Thunderpunch was Special and it caused significant damage with it.

I'm sure Ganon would emerge victorious in a battle between the two though, purely because Typhlosion's movepool is pretty poor for going up against another fire-type; and of course Ganon's got all those fighting moves plus it can learn Boiling Water.
