A battle of the nerds braniacs!
In one corner, we have Cheren! This smarty-pants from Isshu boasts a powerful roster of Pokemon, and strives to become the Champion!

In the other corner, we have Thorton! He's the Factory Brain of Sinnoh/Johto's Battle Factory, and he boasts a team of 3 random Pokemon. Try to keep up with his bombardment of Spock Speak and percentage-spamming!

I vote Thorton. I love the guy :3 He's absolutely my most favourite character in the entire series, and I don't even know why. <3 <3

Cheren looks like Kyon from Haruhi. That's a win from me.

Ugh... I couldn't choose... but I pick Thorton! Gotta love his random percentages.

Thorton sure has nifty looking hair, but I'm a big fan of Cheren. He'd be my in-game character sprite. Now if only I was as smart as my glasses lie about. *sighs*

In the end, I voted for Cheren because Cheren/Touya is adorable we need more glasses-wearing characters! Go, Cheren!

I prefer Cheren's design, and personality.

I like both of them, but Thorton is cuter and I like his personality better.

Thornton because he broke my winning streak and is actually a good battler unlike Cheren, who is lame.

It's extremely hard to decide.. Brain-wise, Thorton wins because even for experienced trainers, it's hard to battle extremely well with pokemon you got on random. Cheren, on the other hand, raised his "chosen-picks" to be strong.

But I voted for Cheren because I like him XDD

I may be a little biased against Thorton because the Battle Factory is my least favourite facility in the Battle Park for being much too difficult to beat, so losing to him is quite possibly the most frustrating thing that can happen in the entire series. Due to random nature of the Factory, there's nothing distinct about Thorton's team, which doesn't help him either.

I don't like Cheren as much as rivals like Gary/Blue, Bianca or Barry/Pearl, but he's still a cool, reliable guy. He's somewhat arrogant, but is still likeable and kind, and is very believable as your character's friend.
