Thread: Tauros vs. Bouffalant

I say Buffalon. It as better design, and juts looks cooler all together.

One thing to bring up for the comparison: Baffuron's Speed is crap. Base 50? Seriously?

^this. Besides, Tauros has a cool design and buffalon is just a buffalo with an affro. Just like Ken the Pen said.

Tauros. Its waay cooler and its not slow. Buffalon is just a bulky Tauros with a fro.

I'll take an animal with an air pocket behind it's super thick skull plating,to reduce the damage from a huge headbut to a stud-faced bull anyday. Although I DO like tauros a bit more, but Buffy takes the cow-pie :D

Personally, I will take Buffalon. I had an eye for bulky Pokemon, just so you know, and Buffulon fits that description. Sure, both have the same Base Stat Total, but the only stat Tauros has over Buffalon is Speed, which no doubt is the main reason he's picked over Buffalon. Also to note: Buffalon is capable of receiving Egg Moves, since he/she has an equal gender chance, compared to Tauros, who, as a male only species, is unable to do so.

Buffalon has Reckless, which is a great ability to go with something quite bulky and has a strong recoil move, as Afro Break gives less recoil than Double-Edge, with the former doing a 1/4 damage recoil compared to the latter's 1/3, so that's a better move. Wild Bolt is also a bit better too, thanks to an increase in power. Herbivore may be nice too, because of the immunity.

Of course, Tauros has the notable advantage of better abilities, which is very good for him, so it can't be ignored. It's also interesting to note that Tauros has a standard Special movepool that he will not be able to take advantage of, thanks to the very low Special Attack. Brute Force will then not be as useful, since of the moves Tauros learns, Rock Slide and Zen Headbutt are the only ones I see can be taken advantage of.

Speaking of moves, Buffalon, while lacking the Special movepool Tauros gets, does indeed get better type coverage Physically than Tauros, as Buffalon gets Megahorn, Revenge (nice because Buffalon is quite bulky) and Aerial Ace, compared to Tauros' Zen Headbutt. Of course, Tauros has the advantage of being able to learn old move tutors, thanks to being a long time Pokemon. Still, I have my preference to Buffalon.

Battling: Dunno...never used either.
Overall coolness: Im gonna go with Tauros. Buffalon just looks ridiculous in my opinion.

I like Buffalon's design, it's different and it makes me giggle. That said, Tauros is better overall.
