Swampert vs Empoleon

VS

Swampert and Empoleon are the third and fourth generation Water Starters respectively. They're both OU Pokemon, both have excellent typing and, while Swampert likes to show off it's physical prowess, Empoleon prefers the special side. They both have the exact same speed stat and yet, even with all of this, the two Pokemon play extremely differently. Empoleon is moslty seen as a special sweeper while Swampert prefers the roles of lead and tank.

I'm choosing Empoleon. I don't really like Swampert. Never have, don't know why. Besides, Empoleon's a freakin' penguin. That alone must make up for the type advantage Swampert has over it. Plus, he learns Grass Knot. The battle may actually turn out to be a draw.

No clue. Swampert gets an advantage due to its typing, but if Empoleon can get a Grass Knot in who knows?

This one is tough. I like them both equally, but I'm going with Empoleon because it's such a pompous bastard.

Swampert for sure. My trusty swampert has netted me quite a few victories.

I say... Empoleon. He's still got the better design, more unique typing, and plus? HE'S A FREAKIN' PENGUIN.

Swampert. Though with an even speed stat and both having the chance of OHKO the other, this fight really can go either way.

MixPertTank Swampert cannot OHKO Defensive Pengiun Empoleon with Earthqauke. The same case other way round with Grass Knot from Empoleon.

Choice Band Swampert OHKO's all variants of Empoleon and Choice Specs Empoleon does the same with Grass Knot.

So it REALLY can go either way.

Imma call this an even draw.

Emmpoleon can make a great tank, and has many resistances.

Swampert is ugly so I voted for Empoleon.

Empoleon has nothing going for it in my books, so Swampert wins.

The elegant penguin is my choice :B but Swampert is more useful

Swampert. ever since "so i herd you liek mudkipz" that whole evolution line has been a ver special pokemon family to me.

I thought the Mudkipz meme would make you tire of Mudkip and its Evos.

I'm going with Empoleon. It's vulnerable to Earthquake, but Pert's even more vulnerable to the common Grass Knot.

I love Swampert's design. And he is just awesome.
