Which one do you prefer?
Which one is more useful?

Galvantula. Nothing beats a Compoundeyes boosted STAB Thunder with decent Special Attack and high speed like that. Non ground Water types or Skarmory will cower in fear from this thing.

Galvantula. He's probably my favorite Pokemon introduced this gen, and quite possibly my favorite Bug type.

I used to be a big fan of Ariados - good design, interesting potential for strategy... However, Galvantula matches this well, has a unique type combination, and is fresh in my mind from my recent run of Black. Galvantula it is.

Tangentially-related, Joltik is positively adorable.

I prefer Ariados design-wise, but Galvantula is just plain useful, both in-game and competitively. He gets my vote.

Galvantula is most effective battle wise compared to Ariados, which can't really be used without strategy.

But know what? I vote Ariados.

Ariados looks way cooler than Galvantula but the latter is better at battling.

Galvantula wipes the floor with Ariados, but Ariados actually served me well in XD, so it gets my vote.

I've been waiting for someone to do this. Hell, I was about to post this contest myself. Anyway, Ariados just gets my vote for better typing and a much cooler look. I also just don't really like Galv for some reason. So, yeah.

Ariados does look cool, but I have to say Galvantula was the one that lifted the barrier for me to use Bug-types. Honestly I used to hate Bug-type because of things like Wurmple and Caterpie, but Galvantula has an AMAZING type offensively and defensively, no matter EVs and stats. Because of this, my vote goes to Galvantula. BTW, just caught a Joltik, using it on my team, even though it's the lowest level, it OWNS everything! Great to have around for Skyla!

Dont get me wrong, I love Ariados....it just that Galvantula is so much cooler. It would probably win in a fight too.

Galvatula wins.

I'll admit that it would win in a battle, but Ariados has just grown on me alot since I got one back in XD. Helped alot. Galvantula is just kind of weird.

Definitely, Galvantula. :)

I voted Galvantula. It's much more useful and powerful than Ariados, has a signature move, unique typing, an awesome design and a cute pre-evolution. What's not to love about it? Well, maybe its moveset, but even then it's far from being bad.

Along with Volcarona, Accelgor, Leavanny, Durant and Scolipede, it has sparked my interest in Bug-types, which is now one of my favourite types. Thank you, Galvantula~ :D
