Thread: Sceptile vs Serperior

Jalorda for being a unique Pokemon in its own right.

Sceptile for being awesome and having loads of speed.

The only reason that Jaroda has so much stat enhancing attacks is because it's original stats are so low. Also, how on earth does coil increase attack, defense, and accuracy? It's not very logical if you ask me.

Jaroda. The Treecko line is actually my least favorite line of starters ever, so naturally I don't care for Sceptile. But Jaroda's really cool, and I love Snivy.

Sceptile is way more powerful than Jaroda. Has much more a wide movepool, and looks cooler. So, Sceptile.

Sceptile is better in every respect. Acrobatics sceptile can be devastating. It also has a better design. I don't like serperior.

I really love both grass starters, but due to the fact that Serperior's movepool prevents it from being awesome, I vote for Sceptile, who has the best movepool a grass type could ever have.

I prefer Treecko and Grovyle over Snivy and Servine, but damn, Sceptile is SO ugly.
Serperior on the other hand, have a very good design and good defensive stats.

Serperior after Torterra is for sure the best grass starter.

Probabily this . While Serperior is an improvement design-wise over it's pre-evolution , I can't say the same for Sceptile . Grovyle looked much better.

So Torterra and Serperior are my preference because of that, both of which are more badass than Sceptile

I love Serperior's design, but I have to pick Sceptile because battle-wise, Sceptile is much more useful with the wide movepool

I really don't like Serperior. It has the worst design of the grass starters and is so overrated because of Contrary.

Sceptile is second only to Venusaur for me, so he wins.

I like Sceptile a lot more. On design, it just appeals. More to the point, in Gen IV OU, my favorite metagame, I was able to use Sceptile extremely effectively. It just works for me, and it's one of my faovirte pokemon, period.
That said, I haven't used Serperior actively enough, but nevertheless, I like Sceptile on the whole more. Plus, it's anime sound is awesome!

I have no prob with Jalorda, its awesome but if I had to chose one then Sceptile all the way.

I really like Sceptile more, mostly because I reset Emerald countless times because I couldn't beat the Elite Four and Sceptile was the one who beat them for me on the hundredth-so time. It looks nicer than Serperior, and does not have a somewhat set personality.

Sceptile can climb trees. Because it has legs. Sceptile can hug you. Because it has arms. Serperior is legless and can only burrow into the ground like a noob. Sceptile is much more useful.

I think that, sadly, Serperior would win in a battle. Its learnset includes Poison-type moves, and it has higher defense and a nice attack and special attack. It's HP is pretty good too.


:3 I remember back when we were all guessing what the Starters would be named. I guess Snivy would be Serivy (Serpent and Ivy, not Snake and Ivy!) and I was shocked at how close I was.
