Thread: Rhydon vs. Riolu

This may seem random, so let me explain. Rhydon was the first Pokemon programed into the Japanese Red and Green versions, making it the first Pokemon ever created. Riolu was invented a month before the Japanese release of Diamond and Pearl, making it the last Pokemon created as of Gen 4.

I don't know about Gen 5 yet which is why I didn't include it.

No contest, yo, it's Riolu! ;A; He's just so cute, and my current favorite baby Pokemon! Plus he evolves into one of the coolest Pokemon ever!

Riolu~ I just want him. Not Rhydon. And Riolu would probably give Rhydon a run for his money.

I like Rhydon, but Riolu is jsut better. Better evolution, better moves, better design. And I had a riolu fest with my brother once. It was so much fun. Our Riolu are still tied with equal wins and losses.

Riolu, because it evolves into one of the best Pokémon ever, blue is my favorite color and it has the type advantage.

Rhydon has a great movepool and evolution.

I say Rhydon. In a battle, Riolu would be destroyed by Rhydon.

Interesting factoid there. Perhaps they did plan to make Lucario Legendary,or at least a standalone.

I wonder why Rhydon was programmed first too, ehehe. All in all, I vote Rhydon. He's cool.

Sorry, Rhydon looks awesome and I never cared about Riolu/Lucario that much in the first place. Admittedly, they've grown on me a bit, but I still like Rhydon better.

Rhydon has a high enough defense to hold out against Riolu's fighting attacks, and Rhydon has a high enough attack to easily take out Riolu.

Riolu is probably my favorite fighting type and I only wish his movepool was similar to Lucario's so that I'd never have to evolve him. I have never liked Rhydon, so this is an easy choice for me, Riolu.

Rhydon. Better design, never needed an evolution.

Rhydon, seems to be the underdog in this topic but I like Rhydon over Riolu/Lucario
