Thread: Rayquaza vs. Mewtwo

Hoenn vs. Kanto, who will win? Hoenn is bringing in their 680 BST pokemon, Rayquaza. Kanto is bringing in Mewtwo, their own 680BST pokemon. I'm pretty sure everyone knows each pokemon's respective typing.Anyways, which pokemon do you think would win in a battle? Who has a better design? Who is more useful in battles?
My personal answer to to all of these questions is Rayquaza because of it's story-line. I love pokemon from the Hoenn region since it was the first region I played in.

Mewtwo, hands-down.

Who do you think wins? Rayquaza is awesome but it can't stand up to the original uber.

Rayquaza over the Giegue wannabe for me.


Plus , Rauquaza is my favorite Hoenn legendary.

Mewtwo as it can 1 hit k.o it easy with a ice beam and hes one of my fav pokemon of all time.

Since Mewtwo is faster its gonna OHKO Rayquaza. Unless Rayquaza goes Extremespeed. Even then Rayquaza can never cause more than 51 % damage. Mewtwo will always OHKO.

I don't know who is more useful. Personally, I used to see more Rayquaza than Mewtwo.

But what it comes down to is personal preference and here Rayquaza decimates Mewtwo. I have always despised Mewtwo, its unoriginal and bland name and design. Rayquaza is my favourite pokemon of all time. Mewtwo one of my least.

Mewtwo is NOT the most powerful pokemon as most Gen I/II fanboys believe. It was the most powerful pokemon in Gen I but that waqs because of the Psychic type's dominance and lack of any other Pokemon with comparable stats. Don't get me wrong. Mewtwo is a deadly Pokemon but to proclaim is the best is foolish. Rayquaza's popularity compared to Mewtwo is modest but it is one of Hoenn's most popular Pokemon. It has an awesome design. The patterns on its body are cool as its origin being the Ziz. It has a much better backstory and legend of the Weather Trio is awesome.

Rayquasa, he is just majorly awesome at fighting, and is a great Pokémon.

I say Mewtwo. Rayquaza's typing puts it at a bit of a disadvantage.
EDIT: And then I go and vote for Rayquaza, just because I apparently can't read. :P

Mewtwo. You just can't beat Mew's counterpart :P Plus I like its design a leetle bit moar.

Mewtwo because I like its story better. Rayquaza is awesome too though.

Mewtwo has great bulk and a vast movepool, plus it will outspeed Rayquaza and any counter that lizard has is moot.

So I definitely voted for Mewtwo.
