Thread: Raikou, Entei and Suicune VS. Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion

The Unova Trio doesn't look as cool as the Beasts imo.

Definitely the Muskedeers. D8 One of the greatest stories of all time, in the form of Pokemon? How awesome is that!

Meh , to me , the musketeers as improvements over the pixies while the beasts aren't as good as the legendary birds .

I mean , the Unova trio are dual types , one of their members have unique-typing and they all have a move exclusive for the trio(Sacred Sword) . Note how the Unova trio waits for you to battle them while the Johto trio run away like pansies.

1. It's a tie for me.

2. The Musketeer trio. They are overall faster than 2/3 of the beasts, and Terrakion can wipe 2/3 of them leaving only Suicune.

3. The Musketeer trio, due to the sheer dominance of fighting types this metagame and no thanks to the beasts' more shallow movepools.

1. Musketeers, don't get me wrong, I love the Dog Trio and GSC have a special place in my heart, but I like the Musketeer's design better
2. Musketeers, they have their own signature move, are prepared to battle (hence Musketeer), and seem to be better fighters overall

I prefer the musketeers. Terrakion is my fave rock type. The musketeers are extremely good at battling. I have been swept by all three with an alarming regularity, especially terrakion. Raikou is nice but I am not a fan of Entei's design and I downright hate Suicune. So, the musketeers, for me. They represent to me the good parts of Gen 5: some of the most perfect Pokemon as far as battling and design is concerned.

I really, really really like Virizion. I think it's almost flawless in design. Cobaliaon and Terrakion though...I'm not too fond of.

In contrast, I think all members of the Johto trio look appropriately badass (and Suicune rivals Virizion in elegance, except it also has an air of mystery about it.) Plus, I find the Beast's legend far more intriguing and compelling than the Musketeer's legend, which is just kind of...meh.

For those reasons, I will vote for the Johto Beasts, despite Virizion (if you traded Entei for Virizion, I would be a happy man. I'm just sayin')

With that said, I find the Musketeer trio is better in combat overall.
