Thread: Poliwag vs Tympole

WHICH TADPOLE IS THE BEST?

• Both first appeared in a odd-numbered generation
• Both are tadpoles that have an evolutionary relative that are based on a frog or toad
• Both gain a typing in throughout evolution(Not including Politoed)

I would prefer Tympole cause I find it creative that the design closely resembles a human head with headphones combined with a tadpoles tail. I also love its final evolution and its water/ground typing(might be my new swampert 8]).

I love how on Pixv they've been inserting him into every picture basically (or placing his face over someone else's), such a goofy but endearing face.

Bonus points for kickass evolutions as well. Although, I still like the Poli's as well.

Poliwag. Otamaro isn't ugly, but it looks like it should be in an entirely different franchise. Does that make sense?

I like Gamageroge, but Otamaro doesn't appeal to me, and Gamagaru's cry gives me headaches. Seriously, it does.

I prefer Otamaro, because of its expression.

Poliwag. It isn't that cute, but compared to Otamaro, it has more appeal. I think the first Water-type that I caught was a Poliwag too, so yeah, I'm biased.

Poliwag looks better, and has good evolutions.

Poliwag has better design and I just prefer its family in general.

I prefer Poliwag to Otamaro. The whole 'intestines as a hypo-disc' thing is a genius concept as far as gen 1 monsters go.

That said, Otamaro definately has the better evolutions.
