I like Meganium... But I like Sceptile more.
Except Meganium definitively doesn't go down in two hits, and the way I see it probably could win due to Sceptile's defenses being enough paper-thin for Meganium's not splendid attack to seriously injure it.With the right stats, meganium would be down in maybe two hits.
Stat-wise, Meganium is superior. Higher attack than Sceptile's defense and higher defense than Sceptile's attack (as most, if not all neutral or SE attacks it can do are physical).
Sceptile's best option could be Dragon Pulse, the strongest reliable special attack that is neutral to Meganium. But Meganium heals himself, so Sceptile is still walled.
I say that in a battle, Meganium wins hands down.

I don't know why, but I just like Meganium more.

At that point it'd just be a matter of waiting a while, as unless Sceptile scores a critical hit (which of course, would OHKO Meganium), it's completely walled.
If for some absurd reason Meganium has the Speed stat maxed out, you could even cripple Sceptile with Body Slam.
You could risk with Giga Impact as a finishing move, too. --It should take away at least more than 1/3rd of Sceptile's HP, if not half-- But if you don't faint it on that you've pretty much lost.
Though if I am going to reason with hypothetical moves, Sceptile does have rest. But it'd just mean Meganium can do more beating and restore the wall.
Sceptile could have Hyper Beam or risk with Focus Blast though, which would also destroy Meganium if it doesn't use a dual screen (limiting its attack to one move, as Reflect and Synthesys are obligatory to survive)
tldr; it's like using a butter knife to kill someone as frail as butter.

Sceptile. No competition. However, Meganium is a good staller, but Sceptile tears right through opponents better than Meganium could.
He bit my lip and drank my war from years before♥

Who do you prefer?
The Gecko.
Who's more useful?
The green one.
Who'd win in a fight?
Same as last answer.
Meganium is my least favorite starter so far. I don't hate it, but I don't really like the Chikorita line other than Ash's Bayleef. Sceptile wins.

I like Meganium better.
I like my Meganium so much in my HG. But in wifi battle, Meganium's role won't really stand out much. So I choose Sceptile here in terms of over all use.
I was a bad girl one time...and now I'm gonna pay for what I did forever and ever and ever.

Meganium no doubt 100%. Why because of this strategy. Giga Drain + leech seed + Toxic + Protect + Leftovers
Sceptile's faster and better, but Meganium's a lot cuter.
Sceptile. Because of speed and movepool.

I like Meganium but seriously? Against Sceptile, Meganium doesn't stand a chance. Sceptile is more agile, it can actually hurt things, and it's from the Hoenn region. I still like Meganium though and I think that it's sad that some people consider it the "worst starter ever." This is not true, cough cough, Infernape, cough cough.
