I had a Cacturne in Ruby.
I remember using it against Wallace.
I loved it, so I'm picking Cacturne.
Maractus is pretty like a cactus, especially one with pink flowers, should be. Also, how is a dancing maraca cactus not awesome?
Maractus. I always hated Cacturne.

I like Maractus more because it's better in battle. Design wise, it's surely Cacturne, but I prefer strength over looks, so Maractus wins for me.

I'll choose Cacturne. I barely remember Maractus so...
Cacturne has better stats and moves. Maractus, like everybody else, is forgettable. Cacturne can also be a good lead in NU tiers.
Maractus gets my vote. Mostly because of its design. I love Maractus' design, it's one of my favourites, whereas I don't like Caturne's design. It looks unattractive and doesn't appeal me. Maractus' design is cool and cute. It's also not such a bad Pokemon in my opinion. So that's a straight win. I also like Maractus' stats more than Cacturne's.
Cacturne. Who else could wear a hat that ugly and not get made fun of? :P
If I had to choose between Maractus and Cacnea, I would probably prefer Cacnea. With Cacturne, it is close win for Maractus.
Cacturne travel in packs slowly tracking weary desert travellers and finally attack and eat them. How is that now awesome? And creepy?

Hmmm, tough choice. I never really liked either of them, and I never used either of them in battle, so I wouldn't know which one is better. So I'm just going to make my decision based on its design. Maractus, it just looks better and less creepy.
