Thread: Lugia VS Giratina

This is a comparison between the two top walls in the games.

We have Lugia, a Psychic/Flying-type from Johto.

And we have Giratina, a Ghost/Dragon-type from the Distortion World Sinnoh.

Which do you prefer?

Which would you use?

Who would win in a battle?

Which is the better wall?

I say Lugia's the better wall. Sure, it has a Stealth Rock weakness and lower HP, but it also has less attack weaknesses, numerically better defenses, and reliable recovery. In a battle, though, Giratina would win. Why? Ghost > Psychic.

I love Lugia. Sure, he's been a douche to capture in every game except Gold. But he can also be a nice tank. Aeroblast+Ancientpower = win. I agree that Giratina might win a battle through Shadow Force or any other STAB Ghost move, but Lugia can Shadow Ball him to death.

As a battle of walls, still Lugia. Giratina doesn't have Recover and Aeroblast, last time I checked.

Giratina would probably win in a fight, but I prefer Lugia because I like all of the legendaries in the first two generations a lot more than the newer ones.

I like Lugia better. Giratina'd win in 1 on 1 though, and is probably the better wall.

Lugia. I got it first, and I like it waay better

I like Lugia's design better, and he had the star role of the better movie, IMO. I don't use Legendaries for battle, so no points there.

Bottom line, Lugia.
