Grass/Poison Showdown!

Similar to the Water/Ground thread, but this time with the Grass/Poisons.

So, which do you prefer?

Who's more useful?

In an all out battle, who would win?

I'm actually going to vote for all of them because I simply love them all. Roserade is the speedy attacker/entry hazard user, Victreebel is the physical attacker, Vileplume is the defensive one, Venusaur's the all around useful one and Morobareru is... a Pokeball shaped mushroom.

Of course, my all time favorite is Venusaur, but honestly? I like them all enough to give them all my vote.

They're all pretty cool, but my top picks are Roserade and Vileplume, with Victreebel coming right behind.

Roserade is among my favorite Grass Pokémon with her sleek and sexy design and her battling prowess. Natural Cure is a great Ability, and she has a movepool several Grass Pokèmon would kill for, with great choices for both offense and support. She's easily the winner here, as well. No one is fast enough to put her to sleep before she does, so unless Sleep Powder fails, they're all disabled and then Roserade can attack them all with Weather Ball under the Sun, or Extrasensory, both super effective.

Vileplume comes second. Though I vastly prefer Bellossom, she's still very cute and cool. She's more offensive and has decent support and stats, though she lacks Roserade's variety. Still, she definitely comes second.

I like Victreebel mostly due to design, and it's also a somewhat fast Grass Poké with great offensives. He could use a better movepool, though.

Venusaur is OK, but I don't like him too much. And this new mushroom Poké Ball thing isn't too appealing.

I gave my vote to Roserade, Vileplume, Victreebel and Venusaur. All have their little good things; the first for nice Sp. Attack and Speed along with a good movepool, and overall adorableness; the second also for cuteness and quite impressive defenses; the third, because it's so weird, and the fourth due to its usefulness in-game.
Sorry, Morobareru annoys me no end...

Roserade is the best, IMO

How can anyone deny the awesomeness of Victreebel? It looks so cool!

Victreebel wins in the anime because of its ridiculous screaming; the "A Shipful Of Shivers" episode in particular springs to mind.

Although Vileplume does evolve from Oddish which is awesome, overall Venusaur gets my vote due to being the most useful and the most beastly of the options.

I picked Roserade, Morobareru and Venusaur. The first two are easy picks, but Venusaur is something I am a little reluctant to choose due to it being already a favourite.

Anyway, Roserade has a pretty awesome design, and one that doesn't normally strike out as a Poison-type, and doesn't look obviously evil as much as being elegant. In battle, Roserade also proves to be a contender, with a great Special Attack to use, as well as some useful Special attacks him/herself. Roserade also gets Toxic Spikes as well as Sleep Powder, and is quite fast him/herself, so that's another role for him/her. However, if Roserade has Technician, his/her Dream World ability, then he/she could be a better attacker, because now Hidden Power can be boosted, as well as Grass Knot in certain cases.

Morobareru is a pretty interesting Pokemon to me, as he/she is a mushroom with a Pokeball look on its cap. I am guessing that this is a good thing, because Pokemon tend to avoid Pokeballs, but it probably won't always work because humans who are kleptomaniacs will tend to take them, but they can always launch a Spore attack when attacked, so that's cool by itself. Of all the Grass/Poison Pokemon, this one's also the most defensive, which I like, and of course, Spore. This Pokemon also gets moves befit for a defensive Pokemon. Besides Spore, he/she has Anger Powder, Clear Smog, Leech Seed, Ingrain, Synthesis (strange choice of move) and Gastro Acid for example.

Venusaur is, well, very easy to understand on why he's great. Besides being the evolution of the mascot of the website, I don't really need to say why it's great, because the Topic Creator is an advocate of Venusaur himself, so he can very likely explain this better than I can.

Venusaur and Roserade get my vote. Venusaur for it being so cool, and Roserade for being my best status=inflicter type yet.

I've always had a thing for Vileplume; it's the perfect mix of defense and offense, at least to me. I try and have one on my team whenever I get the chance.

No contest. Venusaur pawns most grass types, if not all(Except Sceptile of course :D)

Roserade but Victreebel is a close second.
