    Default Garbodor Vs Muk

    Vs

I'm surprised this one doesn't already exist.

Both are pure Poison-type lines based on forms of waste; Garbodor being based on household trash while Muk is based on toxic waste.

Which design do you prefer? Why?

Which one is more useful in battle?

In a battle between the two, who do you think would win?

Overall, which do you prefer: the trash bag, or the toxic waste?

And any other reasoning on why you like/dislike one over the other:

I always liked Muk, but honestly, like most Gen I Pokémon it's design got quite boring after a while. And while Ash's Muk is kinda awesome, Muk as a species is rather forgettable.
I know Garbodor isn't popular and I know it's not going to win a beauty contest, but it's not supposed to be a beautiful Pokémon. I rather like the idea of an exploded garbage bag. At least more than a boring blob (we already have Ditto for that).

I never really used any of them in battle. I used Trubbish for a while in my Black playtrough, but poison isn't really my type. So I dumped it. But atleast I used a Trubbish. I'm not even sure I've ever cought a Grimer.

Don't know whou would win in a battle.

    Conclusion: I prefer Garbodor.

Muk wins for having better stats and movepool than Garbodor, whose own movepool got wasted by its stats distribution (a pure poison type that knows Psychic is really interesting).

Gwaah, I really like both of them! Garbodor's design is just so genious. But however Muk is clearly the winner. Like already said, it has a better movepool and stats. I actually wanted to use Garbodor in my White's ingame team, but it was so terrible that it got soon PC'ed. And Muk's look is also a slightly better imo, even I loved Garbodor's idea.

    HERP!
I misread it as Gardevoir vs. Muk.
    Anyway:

Design wise I prefer Garbodor, I just think it looks more original. I've never used either, but I'd expect it to be not a big discrepancy between the two. I can't really judge on this one.
Overall I prefer Garbodor. It's kind of cute in a way.

Honestly, I love both Pokemon equally. It would be too hard for me to select just one of the two, so I voted for "Both".

This, pretty much. Both of the Pokémon are cool enough for me, both designs are fine enough for me, so I don't think I could prefer one over the other with these two.

To be honest, ever since people got to see Trubbish and Garbodor, it hasn't been anything but rant about how much they sucked, and how uncreative and bad their designs were. I kinda felt the same at first, but as I got to know them and see them more and more, I began to like them more. Now I actually think their designs are pretty creative, because who would've expected Pokémon based on trash? And their designs aren't bad, but they aren't the best either, and then comes all the haters of new gen designs, and it's made worse than it is.

Not much to say about Muk, because it's one of the less noticed Pokémon, so I don't have that many opinions on it to compare. I think its design is great enough, it's one of the original 151 so instant love, and it's just overall decent. But no better than Garbodor, and no worse than Garbodor.

Which design do you prefer? Why?

Garbodor, much more creative. Muk looks like a bigger and less happy Grimer.

Which one is more useful in battle?

Muk. I like its high HP & Attack, and it learns an amazing array of attacks.

In a battle between the two, who do you think would win?

Muk again. Garbodor has the speed advantage, but most of its moves are ineffective poison-types. Muk can do pretty much Garbodor can and more.

Overall, which do you prefer: the trash bag, or the toxic waste?

    The toxic waste.

And any other reasoning on why you like/dislike one over the other:

Ash's Muk from the anime is hilarious to watch.

    Who is this git?

I'm not usually the sort of person who prefers the older Pokemon to something new but Garbodor is truly atrocious.

Which design do you prefer? Why?

Muk's. It may not be as creative as Garbodor's design, but the trash is just awful-looking.

Which one is more useful in battle?

I haven't used Muk much and I've never even attempted to train a Garbordor, but seeing as Muk has a better moveset and stats, I'd say Muk.

In a battle between the two, who do you think would win?

Muk for the reasons already stated.

Overall, which do you prefer: the trash bag, or the toxic waste?

    The toxic waste.

Which design do you prefer? Why?

I do like both. Garbodor does look a bit freaky, but that's what to expect when looking at a mutant pile of garbage. I think they did a pretty nice job at making it appalling while having that cartoon cute feel and showing Trubbish's growth (there is so much garbage that the garbage bag ended up blowing, much like what is happening in our cities). I don't feel like Muk is just an angry Grimer on steroids. Sure, it's a simple design, but it works. You can tell Muk and Grimer are two different Pokémon all together - Grimer is a happy-go-lucky piece of poisonous waste, while Muk is a monstrous flood of deadly toxins. It has personality attached to its design, which, in my opinion, helps it a lot. That is why I'll give Muk the victory in this one.

Which one is more useful in battle?

I can't say I have used any of them much. However, I did use Muk in the Battle Factory a few times (on an unrelated note, I really wish B&W had one so I could try Pokémon I wouldn't otherwise use...) In order to avoid being unfair in this point, I shall not be giving points to any of the trash 'mons.

In a battle between the two, who do you think would win?

Since I can make comparisons more easily than looking at it overall, I'll give this a try. Garbador is faster, and it can learn Psychic, which is a definite plus, but it's only truly exploitable offensive stat is Attack, and Muk is also OK at sponging Special Attacks. Muk, on the other hand, has more variated moveset. Dig, while not a great attack overall, could probably do some nasty damage to Garbador, and there is also Shadow Sneak, that could prove valuable to potentially turn the tide of the battle. That HP is also pretty tasty. I'll give the winning edge to Muk.

Overall, which do you prefer: the trash bag, or the toxic waste?

The toxic waste won more points, so that's a win for it.

And any other reasoning on why you like/dislike one over the other: I'm sorry for Garbador, who is an underdog and usually overlooked for "looking hideous", but that's not enough of a reason to overcome my overall preference for Muk. Sorry, Garbador, but keep in mind I still like you.

I'm going with Garbodor on this one. Muk is very generic, and Garbodor is designed around a more interesting concept. I've never personally used them in battle, though, so I can't speak on that regard.

Which design do you prefer? Why?
Muk's design is quirky and interesting, which outclasses the trash bag for so many reasons.

Which one is more useful in battle?
Honestly? It's no competition for me Muk is more useful because it is more versatile and can be a pain with it's evasive tactics while also being able to take a few hits.

In a battle between the two, who do you think would win?
    Of course Muk.

Overall, which do you prefer: the trash bag, or the toxic waste?
Muk beats the trash bag any day and is actually imaginative even with it's simple design.

And any other reasoning on why you like/dislike one over the other:
I despise the Trash Bag and it doesn't deserve to be a Pokemon let alone a Poison type in my opinion. Also the Trash Bag and it's pre-evolution are the only Pokemon that annoy me out of the entire Pokedex.
