Thread: Fusion Bolt VS Fusion Flare

I know this could be probably pointless, but STILL which do you prefer?

For me, it's Fusion Flare. Fire attacks are more devastating. However, Fusion Bolt is used more since it's Victini's preferred coverage move. I felt that there aren't much reasons to give here, considering how neither are really in competition with the other.

Fusion Flare is good with Reshiram, Fusion bolt is good with both Zekrom and Victini. Since V-Create beats Fusion Flare. I voted Fusion Bolt.

Fusion Bolt is better, because the closest TM to the move (Wild Charge) has less power and some recoil. There's no reason to use Fusion Flare, at any rate, on Victini in the lower 2 tiers it appears in, as it won't encounter (or be paired up with) Zekrom there (I still don't know how the moves work exactly)--well, unless you're worried about burning something, like a Guts pokemon: Fusion Flare won't ever have that effect, I guess.

Others of Victini's moves are much more comparable to Fusion Flare than is V-create--Searing Shot, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, etc. I wouldn't say that V-create "beats" Fusion Flare, as by all means Fusion Flare has adequate power for a standard move, and no drawbacks, and uses an equal attack stat. Not every Victini runs V-create, special sets often using one of the moves more comparable to Fusion Flare (if not something like Overheat). That said, some minutely mixed sets (sets mostly special) do run V-create.

I'm gunna completely ignore the statistics and say the one that I think has the better animation...

I prefer Fusion Bolt's animation over Fusion Flare. As for usefulness in battle they are both exactly the same, so I can't vote on that aspect and I guess it depends what Pokemon your up against to get a super effective hit.

Fusion Bolt. Its animation is more dynamic than Fusion Flare's and that reason makes it seem much more powerful and devastating.
