Feraligatr to me, resembles Charizard. They kinda look the same to me =)) I love how ferocious and always ready to eat it looks. Feraligtr can pawn Empoleon with earthquake due to Emp's x2 ground weakness. But I love Empoleon. Piplup is my most favorite starter due to it's extreme cuteness and being a "penguin". I'm gonna be bias in here, I choose Empoleon =)) It's not a bad choice either for it has more uses than Feraligatr.

Even though every fiber of my body says Feraligatr, I have to say Empoleon. Sure Feraligatr has access to many powerful dragon moves and is pretty handy in OU battles, Empoleon is way better - due to its humongous set of resistances and immunity to toxic.

More useful: Empoleon (it can attack or support)

Who would win: Empoleon (it can KO Feraligatr with Grass Knot)

I like totodile alot but I picked empoleon.

feraligatr for not including "o" in its spelling. also for dragon dancing.

Empoleon because it's a steel type. Plus I don't like Feraligatr's pockets.

Empoleon. Because it's my favourite Water-Type starter before Mijumaru (even though we haven't seen it's evo's yet) :3

In terms of better typing, Empoleon.

Otherwise, Feraligatr is just beast. Period.

I love penguins irl, but it is no competition for me, has to be Feraligatr.

First ever starter for me and has been again in HG. Empoloeon looks like it's wearing a tux and tie, Feraligatr just looks badass.

Empoleon barely wins this one. Both are still great Water-types with great designs, in my opinion.

Empoleon wins, when it comes to my personal preferences.

But in a battle... it's really anyone's call. Empoleon might win much of the time, though, because it commonly packs Grass Knot. Feraligatr, on the other hand, rarely comes with Earthquake, seeing many better moves (Ice Punch and whatnot) to go with Waterfall.

Feraligatr for the sheer fact that it is a true Water-type.

And because gators are WAY ahead of penguins on the food chain. Even if they are steel penguins.
