Thread: Escavalier vs. Accelgor

The title says it all. They are obtained by trading their prevo's with each other; an evolution not seen before these two. One begins with the appearance of a ninja, but evolves into a knight. The other does the opposite, first appearing as a knight, whilst evolving into a ninja. They both have a base stat of 495, and are of the Bug type (Escavalier being Bug/Steel, while Accelgor is pure Bug).

Personally, I must go with Escavalier. In fact, it's my favorite Generation V Pokemon. Possibly, my all time favorite.

I like Knight bug the best for his typing and absurd look.

Shubarugo takes my vote. Bug/Steel is more than pure Bug. Its knightly look also makes it look sexy, in my opinion.

Shubarugo. Sure it's type is overused and recycled, but its so useful.

The ninja slug has a cooler design.

Both are super cool, and may in fact be my favorite bugs, and their pre-evolutions are also super adorable, but I think Chevargot probably edges out a bit over Agilder, at least at the moment.

His sprite animation rocks, plus I saw this awesome fanart the other day of him drawn in a dramatic style that made me like him anymore.

Escaliver wins in all of those categories for its typing, movepool, and stats. It's only lacking Drill Run for coverage, though its arms aren't built for drilling but as lances.

Who do you prefer? Escavalier. I like its design, abilities, stats, typing, movepool more than Accelgor's. It's also one of my favourite bug type Pokemons too.
Who would win in a battle? Escavalier. It's really offensive and also defensive. Sure, Accelgor has the speed but I doubt it's attacks can take Escavalier down and a physical attack from Escavalier can be a threat to Accelgor.
Who has the better design? Escavalier. I really like the knight design on it and I never really liked Accelgor's design.
Who is more valuable? Escavalier.

Chevargo, hands down.

It is hard to choose, because both look pretty cool.
I think Agilder has a more interesting design to my tastes, though.

My vote goes to the one with less votes: Agilder.

Accelgor has a cooler design, it looks like a snail ninja. It also has a more fun strategy. Instead of just being some tank, it can do multiple things. It can kamikaze with Final Gambit, set up Spikes, or sweep. Escavalier is generally more useful though, and would win in a fight for sure.
