Default Egg Group Wars: Water 2 vs. Water 3

    Egg Group Wars
    Water 2 vs. Water 3

    VS

This time, the Egg Group Wars series put two Water-based Egg Groups together, presenting the fish-related Water 2 Group and the mostly invertebrate Water 3 Group! Now in this contest, who will win? Both have a rather small pool of members, so it might be easier to decide your favourite. None of these members have an overlapping Egg Group. Again, let's get familiar with the members.

    Water 2 Group
    • Goldeen and Seaking
    • Magikarp and Gyarados
    • Chinchou and Lanturn
    • Qwilfish
    • Remoraid and Octillery
    • Carvanha and Sharpedo
    • Wailmer and Wailord
    • Barboach and Whiscash
    • Relicanth
    • Luvdisc
    • Finneon and Lumineon
    • Basculin
    • Alomomola

    Water 3 Group
    • Tentacool and Tentacruel
    • Shellder and Cloyster
    • Krabby and Kingler
    • Staryu and Starmie
    • Omanyte and Omastar
    • Kabuto and Kabutops
    • Corsola
    • Corphish and Crawdaunt
    • Lileep and Cradily
    • Anorith and Armaldo
    • Skorupi and Drapion
    • Tirtouga and Carracosta
    • Archen and Archeops

Now that we are familiar with the 26 families of the groups (13 each), it's time to decide who will win, and to make judgement easier, you may answer the following questions:

    • Which group has the best designs?
    • Which group is the more useful one (non-competitive and/or competitive)?
    • Who will win between the two groups?
    • Who do you prefer, all in all?
    • Who would make the best aquarium? (Random question)

Thanks for reading, and happy answering!

As much as I like some Water 3 Pokemon, Water 2 has Wailord, Basurao and Lanturn, so 2 wins.

(And like the saying goes, "blah blah the worst, second's the best, thirds the blah blah)

    I'll bold my favs:
    Water 2 Group
    • Goldeen and Seaking
    • Magikarp and Gyarados
    • Chinchou and Lanturn
    • Qwilfish
    • Remoraid and Octillery
    • Carvanha and Sharpedo
    • Wailmer and Wailord
    • Barboach and Whiscash
    • Relicanth
    • Luvdisc
    • Finneon and Lumineon
    • Basslao
    • Mamanbou

    Water 3 Group
    • Tentacool and Tentacruel
    • Shellder and Cloyster
    • Krabby and Kingler
    • Staryu and Starmie
    • Omanyte and Omastar
    • Kabuto and Kabutops
    • Corsola
    • Corphish and Crawdaunt
    • Lileep and Cradily
    • Anorith and Armaldo
    • Skorupi and Drapion
    • Purotooga and Abagoura
    • Aaken and Archeos

Not much this time, well! In the lead is Water 3... Let's see if Water 2 would catch up!

    • Which group has the best designs?
      Covered
    • Which group is the more useful one (non-competitive and/or competitive)?
Probably Water 3 thanks to the diversity.
    • Who will win between the two groups?
Fossils, Cloyster, and Drapion would pretty much cover everything in the other team. So it's this one, Water 3.
    • Who do you prefer, all in all?
      Sorta covered.
    • Who would make the best aquarium? (Random question)
Down to specialty rather than the plain, old fish tank:
Water 3! Aaken and Archeos in Aquarium? WANT.
Besides, you've got the likes of a SCORPION, ANCIENT TURTLE, ANCIENT... SHELLFISH THINGY WITH BLADES, JELLYFISH, AND SEA ANEMONE HERE.
Compare that to fish... fish... DRAGON!... fish... fish... footballfish... fish... fish.

    4:0... It's Water 3 then.
The twelve Pokémon that make the Pokémon world awesome.

Non–fishes for me. Starmie and Kabutops just reek of awesome from a mile away.

Wtaer 3 group for me. I like fossil pokemon, Corphish, Tentacool, Staryu and Skorupi lines. From Water 2 group I only can choose Magikarp and Carvanha lines.

Water 3 has a better variety of Pokémon, and therefore would have better pass-down moves.

Water 3 by far. It contains many of my favorite Water Pokémon, and a lot of unique families too, including most Fossil Pokémon, which I like a lot. On the other hand, Water 2 is made of the Fish Pokémon, most of which I find exceedingly boring. So yeah, no contest here. Water 3 all the way.
    Is that so ~
