Thread: Dragonite vs Salamence

Wow, I made it half&half XD
I voted for salamence, cause it's cooler looking

Back when I played Gen 3 (and didn't regularly watch anime), I went with Salamence.
In Gen 5, though, I am going with Dragonite, hands-on. Iris has it, it has Multiscale, and I have grown to like its design more than Salamence's.

Salamence. I've tried several times, but I can't seem to make Dragonite work in a team for me. Maybe it's my playstyle.

Anyway, I also greatly prefer Salamence's appearance over Dragonite's.

Salamence; It looks cooler, it's the better attacker, and it hilariously has one more in the attack base stat.

Dragonite:dragon claw/ice punch, endure Salamance's attack with Multiscale, extreemspeed, KO.

I'd have to say Salamence. Even though I like Dragonite's moveset better, Salamence's design and Pokemon Sprites are why I like it better. I've used it more in-game for battles, especially with the Fang attacks and Zen Headbutt that it can use.

Salamence. Easily.

Dragonite looks like Barney with wings and antennas.

Salamence, it doesn't look that good to me, but I REALLY dislike Dragonite's design, it is SO ugly compared to Dragonair.

Dragonite's design has always had a bit of a "Puff the magic dragon" impression to me, and while it was certainly a force to reckon with with those Gen.3 Hyper Beams (and, of course, Outrage), Salamence looks the part of a force to reckon with.

Salamence. It's my all time favorite Pokemon, I have like 3 in my Pokemon Pearl, and I love its design. It looks so menacing while Dragonite are often kind, cheerful Pokemon. I like Dragonite, but Salamence's appearance and awsome stats win me over.
