Thread: Ditto VS Mew

In this thread, we're pitting Ditto and Mew against each other in a pseudo-popularity contest. These two Pokemon are actually very, very similar. They're both from Gen. I, they're pink (though Ditto's purple in the recent games), they're light blue in their shiny forms, they have some kind of relation to most every other Pokemon (Mew by genes and Ditto by... pimpin'), they can Transform, and they're cute.

Ditto now has an ability that allows it to Transform instantly: Eccentric. It also copies the foe's stat modifications! Imagine copying a Salamence with 6 Dragon Dances up! Deadly. With a Choice Scarf, Ditto can end all sweeps that don't involve Substitute, and if it gets a good copy, it can end the match by itself.

But Mew doesn't need to steal the foe's strategy to be a success; it has plenty of its own tricks to use. It can be one of many things without switching its form; a Physical, Special, or mixed sweeper, a tank, an annoyer, and whatever else! Why? It has all TMs and HMs, and almost all tutor moves. It also has Swords Dance (TM), Nasty Plot, Rock Polish (TM), Trick (move tutor), Baton Pass, and Recover to help it annoy or destroy. Needless to say, it's extremely versatile, and just by looking at it, you can't guess what it's about to do! (Also, it's Legendary, LOL.)

Easy. Ditto. Eccentric Ditto wins hands down.

It can breed with other Pokémon; while Mew can not. (I had to bring it up. :P)
It's also easier to get Ditto.

Eh, personally I like Mew more. Dittos still cool.

The argument that Ditto can breed with all Pokemon doesn't mean anything, because without Mew there wouldn't be any Pokemon (non-legendary). And Mew can transform, too.

Mew. Its cute. And the sex slave belongs in the Daycare only.
