Personally, I think Armaldo, it's my 3rd favorite Pokemon, it just rocks.

Armaldo cause I couldnt tell what Cradily was AT ALL. It really was fugly.

I loved Cradily at the first sight and it's still one of my top 5 favorite Pokémon. Really nasty opponent when used properly, luv it. And the best thing is that there's so many ways to use it in battles. Nice typing, Sandstorm, good defenses, Stockpile and Recover... ♥

This one was hard for me as I like them both a lot (better than Omastar or the Gen IV fossils anyway).

But my Grass type bias is making me choose Cradily. It's really close though

Better Design?
Gaah too hard to choose! Cradily is slightly better because it is not overdone. Armaldo will always be one of my most favourite Bug-types however.
Who Would Win In Battle?
Armaldo simply because Rock does not resist Bug. What :/.

I am slightly leaning towards Armaldo, even though I love Cradily now, I sadly did not care for it much back then.

Armaldo. I'm not gonna list why.

Design - Cradily. At least it was original! Armaldo is basically a land based Kabutops. Plus Armaldo looks overdone. You've got the claws, the winhs, the shield thingy over the wings, the head/beetle thing going on and all kinds of batshit stuff piled on. Cradily looks more Gen 1.

In a battle - Armaldo. Type advantage/speed/power. Cradily needs tons of setup before it can effectively wall (which it does very wellafter 1/2 uses of Barrier and Amnesia.)

Overall - They're both okay. I can't pic.

Cradily looks awesomer, is a great staller and even better boost receiver, and armaldo is usually outclassed by others, so yeah.

Cradily looks like a bong to me, so Armaldo.
