Eh, I dunno. It's a bit mix and match.
I really like the names Snivy, Pokabu and Tsutarja. They roll off the tongue and are fun to say. The 'Sni' and 'Tsuta' parts of the grass 'mons names are fittingly snake-like, and 'Pokabu' is just adorable.

Mijumaru always kind of bugged me, moreso for it's meaning, and Oshawott seems like a clumsy mesh of various words. Tepig gets points for not being quite as obvious as previous suggestions, though it does feel rather mundane.

Smugleaf will always be an abysmally stupid name imo, and the only one I can say I flat out dislike. As far as fan names are concerned, I could have lived with Pignite and Wotter. They at least tried to be clever.

Mundane as it may be, base evolutions always have a "the smaller you are, the less extreme your name shall be." Take the initial Poliwag line. Wag is cute, whirl is mildly discomforting, and wrath kinda hurts. Poochyena? Pooches are small. Mightyena? Mighty's gonna conjure up something bigger.

Tepig's gonna go from 'tepid' to 'volcanic' or something. Boarcano, man, Boarcano.

    Mijumaru, Oshawott, or Wotter?
Oshawott... it's just an awesome, original name. Wotter, isn't. Mijumaru was a great name and will be, but Oshawott's better.

    Tsutarja, Snivy or Smugleaf?
This, I'll stick with Smugleaf. I just got too used to it. I will have to move on to Snivy though...

    Pokabu, Tepig or Pignite?
Tepig? When I first saw it, I thought "Teh Pig". Pignite's my choice here, might as well nickname my Tepig (if I get one. I will be getting Oshawott though.).

    All together winner?
Tsutarja, Pokabu and Mijumaru seem to compliment each other. Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott is also awesome. But Smugleaf, Pignite and Wotter is the best trio. Well, maybe if we change Wotter into something else. Like Oshawott or Mijumaru.

The Japanese names are easily the best out of all three. The English ones just sound awkward and forced. And I NEVER LIKED SMUGLEAF! *is bludgeoned by angry fanboys*

I voted for Fanmade, but now I realize the awesomeness of Revolver Oshawott and Solid Snivy.
