I have to pick a bit here. I overall preferred Mijumaru for the easy pronunciation and the cuteness of it. But I preferred Pignite and Smugleaf because I thought they were awesome names. They sounded great to me.

I prefer the Japanese names over the English names, and especially over the fanmade names. I don't know, I just think the latter two are ridiculous.

The Japanese names.
Though I do like Smugleaf a lot, I'm sticking with the Japanese ones.

I like the fanmade names much better. I actually wanted snideleaf instead of smugleaf.
I don't always resist, but when I do, it's with The Resistance. Stay resistant, my friends.

The only japanese name I liked was Mijumaru, but the pokemon's new english name is sounding better every minute.
I think the English names will be the norm, so I chose that. In the future, newer or returning fans will be using the English names, so it's best that everyone knows them. It's a bad thing to be stubborn with fan-names, because it will be harder to get the message across them.
Thanks for reading.

The English names are great. Love Snivy. Tepig sound quirky, and Oshawott is amusing too. Even Unova sounds pretty awesome to me.
Is that so ~
Oshawott is perhaps my favorite name for a pokemon ever. It's a perfect fit for Miju.
I liked the Japanese names better, but as for Mijumaru... well, I do agree that it sounds cute, but there's something that I could never stand about it. (the name, that is) Maybe it's just that I can't stand the way it looks when I write it in Katakana (writing scripts have their own aesthetic qualities too, you know.) Or maybe it's the sheer amount of M sounds in the name.
Fan made smugleaf is just a epic name!
I have to pick and choose here.
For the Grass Snake, I like Snivy the best. 'Smugleaf' always annoyed me, and Tsutaja is too hard to spell :P
For the Fire Pig, I like Pignite far more than Pokabu or Tepig. Pignite actually sound like a Fire types name. Tepig implies it isnt even that hot (temp. wise). I dont mind Pokabu, but Pignite is more pleasing to me.
As for the Sea Otter, Im going to choose Mijumaru. As it is meant to draw inspiration for Japan and samurai, I think a Japanese sounding name suits it best. Wotter seems a little unimaginative to me, and Oshawott is just...strange.
I chose the Fanmade option, though, as if I had to choose one set to go by, it would be those.
The names got announced when?
Personally I prefer fanmade nicknames.
Wotter
Smugleaf
Pokabu
these suit the pokemon the best.
Fave Game At the moment :D
