Thread: Charizard vs Typhlosion

I chose Charizard because he has a greater movepool then Typholosion.
I never use these pokes, so my answer is completely unbiased.

Charizard in every way

Typhlosion isn't as appealing as Quilava. Also, Charizard was one of the few Pokemon I knew when I was little, so I really like him...

Charizard, I guess. I like both. 4x Stealth Rock damage is one of Charizard's greatest downfalls, however.

Charizard. It actually has things that can hit Typhlosion for a lot of super-effective damage; namely, Earthquake. Typhlosion, however, has very few options. It has Rock Slide, but seriously, when do you ever see a Typhlosion with Rock Slide? And ThunderPunch just won't cut it.

Charizard can fly. That's a plus.

Read the chapter about the volcano in my fan fic and you will have much more respect for Typhlosion lol.

Typhlosion hands down.

No offence to Zard fans, but Charizard just sucks. In battle, most of the time it can't set up Belly Drum because it gets raped of half it's health by Stealth Rock when it switches in. Typhlosion carrying Rock Slide PWNs it. Even so, Charizard can be effective, sometimes.

Ah... Charizard. The ORIGINAL king of fire types. He is my favorite fully evolved starter out of them all. Charizard has a better design too. I hate the 4x stealth rock weakness... But he is more useful than Typhlosion due to his bigger move pool and the ability to come in on an EQ. I hope they nerf stealth rock... It's way to broken. :/
