Thread: Charizard vs Infernape

I prefer Infernape. Why? Charizard is one of the most OU pokemon of all times. Plus, the monkey is fast and hits hard :B

Charizard. One earthquake could destroy Infernape

Charizard. He is awesome and is the only non-legendary fire-flying pokemon (i think. correct me if i'm wrong). He is pretty unique

I like infernape. monkeys are cooler than dragons and actually real

Infernape is my least favorite of the Fire starters... And is not as much fun to use. =/
I went with Charizard.

Infernape here. He gets too much flak for a silly reason, as is being a Fire/Fighting Starter like Blaziken before him. His design is much superior, as is his Type and capacities. Both Infernape and Charizard have a big Movepool, but Infernape is way better in pretty much every other category, and has a much cooler concept behind his existence.

Charizard would have a chance at beating Infernape if he wasn't slower and if Infernape didn't have Thunder Punch/Stone Edge. As it is, Infernape owns Charizard.

It'd win in battle becuase Flying > Fighting, but I will admit Infernape is more useful.

I have to ask, Envoy: Were you put on this Earth simply to hate Charizard? Cuz you seem to spend a lot of time doing nothing but railing against it.
I'm picking Charizard, as always. I don't hate Infernape on its own, but I can never forgive it for how it shunted Blaziken off onto the sidelines, becoming the dominant Fire-Type Starter. Granted, Blaziken has Speed Boost now, making things a little more even, but I have to quote Lanipator on this subject: "GOD DAMN YOU YOU FILTHY MONKEY."

Infernape is extremely useful, despite it's terrible design and overused typing

I don't think I was, and if I did then I think I'd have an emotional breakdown because my purpose in life is so trival...

But yeah, I really don't like Charizard. It's just an overrated piece of crap with a bland design that somehow stood out to the entire fandom for being a "dragon". Venusaur and Blastoise are both much better Kanto Starters and Blaziken is the superior Fire Starter. I wish Blaziken had been the Kanto Fire Starter instead of that piece of shit "dragon".

Don't you dislike any Pokemon yourself? If you don't, then I commend you, you're a better person than me (not that much of an accomplishment, I can assure you) but between the monkey, the pig and Charizard, I've pretty much given up on Fire Starters (and Fire types in general). The only Fire types I really like are Houndoom, Ninetales, Arcanine, Blaziken and Typhlosion. The others range from amibvalence to pure hatred... especially the Starters.

I prefer the monkey more due speed and stuff.
The battle would go either way, though.
Monkey hits first with a SE and KO's the lizard,
or lizard uses anykinda super effective hit KO'ing the monkey.

It's a though fight,
but like I said, I prefer the monkey by 9.5 VS 9

Infernape would probably beat Charizard in a fight with Stone Edge. I hate Infernape because it feels like a copy of Blaziken, and it is overused. Charizard is one of my favorite starters, and it looks cool.

Infernape gets my vote. Charizard has a uninspiring design, is lame and a way too much overrated Pokémon in general.

I choose Charizard because of its type advantage, design, power and popularity.
