Obviously, Bulbasaur is helpless against Genesect.

Yep. One strike from Bulbasaur's STAB Sacred Fire and Genesect is down, even though it's not very effective.

Genosect. Because he's more awesome.

Genosect would probably win a battle, but Bulbasaur wins my vote because I like him better in design. Plus, he is the first pokemon in the pokedex.

Bulbasaur by far. He's the original Pokemon, he's got epic design, plus, y'know, he rules the universe. There's that.

Obviously a legendary bug type can defeat a first evolution grass type starter. Genesect can still even defeat Venasaur.

Well, the obvious choice for battles is Genosect, but I like Bulbasaur a hell of a lot better than Genosect (despite Bug being my favorite type :/ )

It's an android bug with a laser cannon... How can I not be in love with it?

Bulbasaur is cool, but Genosect is awesome.

Design wise, i'd say bulbasaur. A crazy bug with a cannon in it is just too weird. However, in battles, it's obvious that a legendary can beat a first form grass starter.

Bulbasaur, my second favorite grass starter!!! GRASS FTW!!! I like Genesect's design too, though.
