Thread: Blaziken vs. Infernape

I liked Ash's Infernape, but I've always thought Blaziken is one of the coolest Pokemon. I've been using it since Ruby Version, and it is the ORIGINAL Fire/Fighting starter. You can't disrespect the awesomeness of Blaziken.

I prefer Infernape. Better design. Blaziken can spend its time as a chicken nugget on other's dishes.

Blaziken, since it's pretty strong and it was my Hoenn starter.

Infernape. Has a better design and just appeals to me more. I don't like Blaziken's head crest thingy. I don't know about Blaziken's movepool, but I love Infernapes. Thunder Punch, Shadow Claw, Close Combat and Flare Blitz has never let me down.

I pretty much hate monkeys of any kind, so Infernape/Chimchar was destined to be one of my least favorite starters.

But beyond that, Blaziken was my original Hoenn starter and still one of my favorite Pokemon today.

This all the way. Imo, Blaziken sucks design wise. It looks utterly stupid. I also hate that people pick on poor Infernape for its typing and say that Blaziken is better because it's the first fire/fighting starter. It's not Apey's fault he's fire/fighting. Plus, Infernape outclasses it statistically and movepool wise. He's been my favorite starter ever since I first used him. <3

And this is saying something, because I don't like monkeys.

Infernape, because it has a better design.

And monkeys > chickens.

Blaziken because the Torchic line is one of my favs and I love the fact it can learn Brave Bird XDD

I vote for Blaziken! Because that was and still is my favorite starter.
But Infernape is faster though and can do the move acrobatics....

That's not really subverting facts, what he says is the truth. Not every Blaziken is Protect+Speed Boost.

But not every Infernape will have a move that can OHKO Blaziken.

What the Pokemon has or not is irrevelant. The best version Blaziken(ie the one that has Protect + Speed Boost) beats the best version Infernape.

I remember saying this several times in the Charizard vs Blaziken thread. Gimping one to let the other win is a very bad arguement.

All I'm saying is the he wasn't subverting facts by not talking about the very best Blaziken, that's all.

No contest Blaze is the original and has Speed boost
