Thread: Best Starting Town - Pallet vs. New Bark vs. Littleroot vs. Twinleaf vs. Nuvema

Most Memorable:
Pallet Town is the most memorable, mainly due to "Hi I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town". Also, it was where my journey began.

Best Locations Near it:
New Bark Town. It has connections to later parts of the game (Blackthorn, Tohjo Falls)

Which is the Best:
New Bark Town.

Most Memorable:
Littleroot town, for being my first and i've been there a lot(i have around 6 hoenn games)

Best Locations nearby:
Either Nuvema or New Bark, for URoute 17/18(for Genosect + scrafty) and Tohjo Falls

The Best:
A hard one, but just littleroot over nuvema because of nostalgia and the good representation of a natural setting.

Twinleaf town. It's music is so nice and soothing... and nostaglic... and... *falls peacfully asleep listening to it*

Although I mostly hate the Johto region, I'd have to say New Bark Town is my favourite of the starting towns. HG/SS raised it from the very bottom to the top of my list, mostly because of the stairs and windmills.
I'd daresay it's even the most memorable in my mind.

...Although for the part about nearby locations, I'd have to put Twinleaf above New Bark Town, because of Lake Verity.

The most memorable would have to be Pallet Town, mostly because of the anime and all that.

When it comes to best nearby locations, I'm torn between Twinleaf and New Bark. Twinleaf has Lake Verity, but New Bark has Tohjo Falls. I'm going with New Bark here.

Which one is the best? New Bark. It felt the most unique and special to me, both in gen II and IV.

My favorite is New Bark Town. It just has a really nice atmosphere and I love it.

The best music is in Twinleaf, though.

Littleroot Town

It was the one I started with, after all.

I choose Pallet Town because it looks more... peaceful than the other towns.

Well Pallet is most memorable, as it's the first town a lot of players (including me) started their Pokemon journeys in. So it wins that category...

But to me, New Bark is the best and probably my favorite. I loved the redesign in HG/SS, and it's motto is excellent.

The thing that I love about starting towns are their music. New Bark's, Littleroot's and Twinleaf's music are among the best musics ever in Pokemon games. I think other than their musics, starting town are pretty much the same, so I judge them by their music :p

Littleroot. The first town I've ever been in any Pokemon games. I also love its music the most.

New Bark I guess. This is the town I occasionally visit compared to other starting town, maybe because of it is next to Kanto.

Anyway, I voted for Nuvema Town. idk why, its just my favorite.

Twinleaf Town. When Rowan asks your name, at least your not his neighbor, so it's less awkward.

Meaning no lab in the town? FTW.

I like them all about equally, but I'll choose Pallet, because it has my favourite music.

New Bark Town, I guess? It is indeed the most memorable... And I'm even happier with the update. You can't forget it back then... and now.

To be honest, I have never thought of this, but... nowhere? The locations around the starting towns, to me, are just OK.

After the update, New Bark Town. It's aesthetically pleasing, and it also has a unique layout compared to others. (Nuvema Town comes close, though with the interesting layout choice.)

For me my favorite town would be Littleroot. I like to go to Littleroot every once in a while just to relax and walk around.
