Okay, I'm not even going to bother explaining why I'm pitting these two together. Let's just jump right to it, shall we?

In a battle, Arbok has a clear type advantage and with Jaroda's horrid movepool, the Gen I snake is clearly the most likely to win.

In general however, Jaroda is more versatile than Arbok and has better options (Antagonist, Glare, Leech Seed) so you can get more mileage out of Jaroda than you can out of Arbok.

Who do you prefer?

Who'd win in a fight?

Who's more useful?

I'm going with Jaroda (GASP!) because of his awesome design and Grass typing. Also, the few options Jaroda does have at it's disposal are really excellent options. Arbok, on the other hand, is quite one-dimensional.

I'm going with Jaroda, mainly because I like its design better

A Poison snake versus a Grass snake. Which do you would win?? Arbok. Jaroda doesn't stand a chance.

Jaroda. it clearly wins, with it's awesome design, as well as moves, not to mention stats and abilities.

Jalorda wins, both design-wise and most likely battle-wise.

A royal European grass snake beats whatever snake Arbok is based off of. Plus, Jalorda gets access to Coil + Leaf Blade/Wring Out/Giga Impact and Leaf Storm + Perversity. The only way I see Arbok winning is if it somehow snuck in a powerful SE Poison move before being KO'd.

Jalorda made me like grass types (to an extent) Arbok just makes me hate poison types even more. (Although I do like how Ekans and Koffing prefer to be good when they're shipwrecked.)

As cool as Jaroda is, I'm going with Arbok on this one.

I mean, it's a cobra. You can't get much cooler than that.

No, I'd never.

Sludge bomb, gunk shot, and fire/ice fang would put Jalorda in its place since it can't learn any attack ground or psychic moves. I end my side of the fight there.

Arbok. It's a poison type, so the match is in Arbok's favor. And Jaroda becomes useful if it has the Dream World effect.

I really disliked Jalorda at first. It is now growing on me. I really like Snivy and Janovy.

Arbok, with its Poison-type moves along with the elemental Fang moves, has a clear and straight advantage over Jaroda.

However, I am massively biased towards Grass-types, so I chose Jalorda. :)
