Going back to all the earlier stuff, i wonder if we would be allowed to make a separate poetry thread in the writer's workshop? All the users could share their poems, long and short, there, from all kinds of types and genres.

    What do you guys think?

I would say not, actually. Threads should really be created for a single user's work. If you want to make your own poetry thread, feel free, but having more than one person posting in the thread could lead to complications.

When it comes to making a rhyme
Its not so hard most of the time
I used to like making poetry
about the land, sky, and sea
    Then the limits became seen
and it lost that special gleam
In the end I now write tales
its what puts wind in my sails

Yeah, basically I used to be able to write any AABB sceme poems then it got annoying when I didn't feel right not rhyming in my head so I took a break and started to enjoy fiction much more.......though now I have the urge to write an epic......

You won't, thinking like that. To win you must believe in yourself! Believe that you can do it, that you can become good enough to win it! Only then can you, in fact, reach the point where you will! :D And if you can't believe in yourself, then I will quote Gurren Lagann (awesome, awesome show): "If you can't believe in yourself - then believe in me, who believes in you!" - anyone can become good enough with enough effort and time on their hands, that I believe strongly :D

I know you have to think you can win xD but it isn't just that at the end of the day.

The point is, the more optimistic you are, the more you want to put in an effort, and the better the result gets. So thinking you can do it is, in fact, very important ;) I am, and will forever be, blindly optimistic; only through that do I get the energy needed to do what I truly want!

It's very funny, my main character in a fic I'm writing has the same kind of problems x)

I-is it what I think it is? -stares at flaming pokéball- or is it something else?

Also, I'm blindly pessimistic with my abilities which makes me constantly want to reach a better level u.u

After the last awards season, I seemed to pick up the name of Gary Motherfucking Oak, which I think is a good thing. :> Looking forward to some competition!

Getting nominated is probably a big enough honor for me, considering I'm a new author to the Workshop. But winning an award would be great. I plan to post chapter 3 before nominations start, and my secret project hopefully around a week or so before nominations start. May even leak over into the beginning of May, but it doesn't matter, just really early basically. I may also get chapter 4 out for my fic, but not sure. Secret project and chapter 3 for my fic will definitely be out though

There is a Best Newcomer award, so maybe you could have your eye on that one. I won it myself two or three award seasons ago, and it's a good entry-level category to shoot for.

Thought about the newcomer award as well, no need to aim too high. Otherwise, you'll just walk away disappointed.

Just a quick question. Has there been experimented with the "metalmorph" category here in Writer's Workshop before (Pokémon turned into robots/cyborgs)? Thought about for a while after the discussion with the Pokémorph subject.
