I think everyone was busy playing X or Y.
Which I still don't have yet...
Ah, yeah, that's probably true.
On a writing related note though, I posted in the Review Game and the fic I'm looking to get reviewed is the newly updated Super Luigi, so if you're a Luigi fan, you might like it. ^^
Yeah, my copy of Y finally arrived and I've been playing it nonstop, classes permitting...
who am i kidding i skipped all of my classes yesterday to play
And by that I mean I've been buying clothes and getting my hair done and playing games with my Pokemon and feeding them Poke Puffs and trying to do roller blade tricks and generally procrastinating. I have something like 12 hours on the clock since yesterday and I only have two Gym badges.
The Atlantis Codex / Champion Game
'A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born.' - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
'Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more; men were deceivers ever.' - William Shakespeare
'Beauty is everywhere a welcome guest.' - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
'When one life meets another life, something will be born.' - Un(k)own
Haha, I haven't tried out Pokemon-Amie yet. I've just been wanting to continue the story! I will try it out eventually though. Same with the clothes thing (I won't be changing her hair because she already actually looks just like me).
So Global Link has opened today with some new features, such as Pokémile store, where you can buy stuff such as potions, max revive or rare candies etc. By the way, If you haven't yet, check your logbook and look at the bottom.
If you got the game at the 11th of October, they will know that...
And you can upload photos now of your characters to your global link account, here's mine for example:
Anyway, I had this idea for a while, but I'm not sure it will work, so I'll ask you guys and girls about it. The idea is about a preview thread, where people could upload a small part of a chapter, which doesn't necessary have to be the beginning of a chapter, but somewhere in the middle in order to catch some potential readers' attentions. I'm not sure, so what do you think?
I'm exploring the Frost Cavern and looking for an Ice move to teach Kaitou, my Blastoise
Ooh, I like the idea of a preview thread! I'd go for it. ^^ The Nancy Drew series does something like that in each book. At the beginning, there's a section of a chapter written to catch the reader's attention.
I love the preview idea too
I'm glad to hear people likes this idea, even though I doubted about it. But you'll never know until you ask, right?
Aside from you three, Flaze, LightningTopaz and Kelleo, I would like to hear from everyone else about their opinions of the preview thread idea. And I don't want to make one yet without permission from the moderators.
I will bring it up with the other moderators and discuss it amongst ourselves, though something like the Fanfiction Announcement Thread are there to try and gain people's interest.
Remember to submit your chapters if you have not already to me for the Awards as I am putting the threads up in a few hours!
Not sure if this is the place to post this kind of message, but I'm preparing to start my sequel to the Jim trilogy, taking place in Kalos. The main character arrives in Kalos from another region, like Ash, but should they arrive in Vaniville Town or Lumiose City? Would the former even have something like an airport or a harbor for tourist arrival? If I went by the latter, which is more logical for arrival, how would that explain all the backtracking they'd have to do to get to the first towns? Forgive me if I sound naive or ignorant, but I am a frequent victim of writer's block, and I love feedback.
Y Rotation Team
Oh, awesome that the preview thread idea might go through. ^^
On another note, I got my Pokemon X/Y guide today! I think it was the last one at my local GameStop, because the guy told me other people tried to buy it not knowing it was on hold. I'm glad I got there when I did to save him more of that trouble. lol
The guide is smaller than the older Pokemon game guides, but thicker. It's also hardback and comes with a pretty cover that also has a map of Kalos on the inside. It also comes with a screen wipe that has the Kalos starters on one side and the X/Y cover art on the other. :3 The only disappointing thing so far is that it lacks the Kalos Pokedexes. But since this book is already pretty thick and the Pokedexes in this game are quite big, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a separate guide just for the Pokedex like we've had for past titles.
