I couldn't get on for a little while myself, but I got a message that said the forum was down for maintenance. :/. I was able to get on again after a short time though.
C'mon, Jack... You've had a death wish ever since Terri died. The way things have been going for you in the past year and a half, this probably doesn't look like such a bad idea. You get to go out in a blaze of glory, one of the greatest heroes of all time, leave your troubles behind... This could be the easy way out, huh? You still got a life, Jack. You wanna be a real hero? Here's what you do. You get back down there and you put the pieces together. You find a way to forgive yourself for what happened to your wife. You make things right with your daughter, and you go on serving your country. That'd take some real guts. ~ George Mason
I vote the downtime was to beef up security
Yeah the "LIVE" part, and some characters missing and all other things you saw that shouldn't have been were just errors in the coding. Yeah security seemed to be part of it, what part I have no idea. But yeah all should be normal again. And we even kept our notifications!
Fair point there @Caitlin, fair point indeed :P And I think a security upgrade would make the most sense, and it is a much better alternative than a security risk!
Remember to take part in the stuff going on folks! Most important at the moment would be too cast your votes for Best Reviewer and Newcomer!
It is a possibility.
On another note I love my new sig xD
Last weekend was amazing, but it felt way too short... I'd been looking forward to it for months, and it's over already. Ah well, I have plenty of good memories, and our parents are already making plans to meet up again next year. It was a huge step in the right direction for my social anxiety, too.
I recently had an idea for an original novel that follows the basic outline of my fanfiction, but I promised to finish the fanfic first. The thing is, I'm currently in the middle of a part that's really boring to me and the novel (which will most likely be named ECHIDNA) is looking more and more tempting... but I figure that if I can't get myself to finish ol' PF, I'll never be able to finish ECHIDNA. I want to prove that I'm capable of finishing a novel-length story (I estimate that PF will be 260,000 words when complete). I'm on chapter thirty-eight (90,000 words) out of an estimated eighty, so I've still got a long way to go...
Sounds like you had a lot of fun, Ahnyo, and that's the important thing with an anxiety like yours.
Good to hear that you had a great weekend, Ahnyo! :) Hope you have a lot more fun irl to help with your anxiety :> And you can do it! Regarding PF, I mean xD And the original novel as well. Gogogo!
Jeez Louise! There's a lot of festivals happening at the moment in Denmark. Roskilde Festival, a festival for teenagers and young people, Vilde Vulkaner (Wild Volcanoes) for children between 7 and 14 years old, and Landsstævnet (National Games), an event for sports enthusiasts, which happens to start in about 40 minutes with their opening ceremony.
EDIT: Um, is it just me, or is it awfully quiet in the writer's workshop today?

Over here in the USA, it's Independence Day, so I'll be heading out to see fireworks soon
Funny thing is that tomorrow is my country's own independance day xD though ours isn't as cool.
Well, happy July 4th/Independence Day to us Americans! Yay for red, white, and blue and fireworks. ^^
Heh, don't worry, Flaze. Europe's "Labor Day" isn't all that cool either. I don't remember what they do for it at all, but I know it's on May 1st and they call it May Day. And we always got that day off school. I lived in Europe for a time, so yeah.
