Plus we're all generally awesome.
Plus it's always fun to get a second (and third, and fourth) opinion on your work
And yes @Caite-chan, yes you did :P
@AceTrainer14 Well I hope that things have calmed down enough to where I can be lazy again and be here more.
I've just read the rules about posting a chapter or two to the judges in a similar way as the Emmy awards and considering my fic right now only has three chapters so far, it probably won't be difficult to decide which ones the judges should read. And by the way, even if I don't win an award, I'll just say it's an honor to take part in the competition as it is my very first one.
EDIT: On a side note, I need a new signature, it's a bit of a mess at the moment with all those links XD
I suddenly have the urge to write a zombie apocalypse story in a Left 4 Dead setting. I was going through one of the campaigns a few nights ago and looked at some of the writing on the wall in one of the safehouses and was like "Wow. Imagine seeing this in real life." Like, you'd see something like "Jay, Melissa, we're heading north. Let's meet at the airport." written on the wall and then you realise they probably never regrouped and never survived.
If only I had the time. :(
Edit: also, thinking about this Fairy-type business... one of my characters owns a Clefairy which he practically uses as an HM slave, and states how he has trouble with Dragon-types. I wonder if I should work Fairy-types into my story, even though I'm focusing on a Gen IV atmosphere...

Maybe of you treated Fairy type as a new or recent discovery that this character recently became aware of, you could work it in without it being too far of a divergence from what you imagined before the news of this new type came out during E3.
I think I read the fic you're talking about though, and it might be a little tough seeing as this character has been to most regions aside from Kallos.
I don't have an answer, just giving some thoughts. Good luck!
I usually treat "types" as sort of arbitrary categories that researchers place Pokemon in rather than something set in stone in nature, and Pokemon being put into new types as a reclassification of sorts.
So, sort of like how Pluto used to be called a planet.
When the opponent is seeded, every turn a little bit of their HP is drained and given to the other Pokemon
