Legacy is definitely that good of a writer. Pocket Monsters ranks up among my favourite fanfics as well.

I guess I should probably answer my own question.

My favorite pieces of fanfiction ever are The Champion is Never Forgotten by Gerbilftw, Leaps and Bounds by lilacbird, and Roots by Gastly's Mama.

Are they also the best? I'd like to think so.

Well, I'd read it, but I'm not really interested in Pokemon fanfiction at the moment. I'm still a big fan of Pokemon itself though.

Thanks for the kind words you guys, but I don't see myself as that good. I just love to write.

Authors like @Gastly's Mama, @Misheard Whisper, @Cabaret, and @AceTrainer14 are people who I consider much more talented than me.

And that's not even mentioning any of the other awesome authors we have here.

My favorite fanfic...well that is indeed a hard question now that I think about it.

I've read a lot of good fics by a lot of different authors and while most of them were good the ones I pick would be the ones that just clicked from the beginning. A story gets better as it goes but if I were to pick a favorite it'll be one that got my as soon as I started or at least had me after I was done with the first chapter.

So basing myself on that I'll have to say that I'm tied between three different stories Champion's Game by @Misheard Whisper, Pocket Monsters by @Legacy and Essence of Life by @Mr. Smugleaf (yes man your story is that good, at least in my opinion)

That is not to say there aren't others but those are the three that I can best pick. However I will say that it wasn't until recently that I started reading Pocket Monsters with all the seriousness in the world, having read the first one I only reread to see the small changes so it wasn't until the latest chapter that I began to get on the saddle again.

I too have to add my praise for Legacy--I can only hope I'm as good as he is one day.

Just thought I'd drop in here to mention that the Workshop Directory is now open and taking entries. I'd love to see it chocka with awesome fics.

I'd be happy to add my Zelda fic, but I don't see one of its genres on that list. The fic is action/adventure/mystery, mystery being the one that isn't there. Mystery IS a genre, you know. My favorite books are mysteries, after all. xP

Yes, mystery is a genre. If you don't see it there, it just means it didn't occur to me during putting the list together. It's not like I excluded it out of contempt or anything.

Oh, don't worry, I didn't assume that. I thought maybe you didn't think of it, as you say. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. xP

For all you D&D fans in here, I'd appreciate it if you take a look at my My Little Pony role playing game which is based on D&D and the d20 system. (As in, it's a d6 system. :P) [/shamelessadvertising]

Oh jeez, why would you mention me??? I'm flattered, but ME, really?

Also, in refrain from double posting, I have an idea everyone! What if in the directory, right next to where we put either E, T, or M, we put one of these letters so the reader knows what it is being asterisked for before going into it.

    S: for sexual situations.
D: for frank talk of death. (this one could be left out, i just put it in just in case)
    SA: for substance abuse.
    L: for adult language.
    R: for religious commentary.
P: for works related to prejudice and intolerance.

What do you think? Is this a good idea?

EDIT: I thought about putting V for violence as an asterisk, but come one, this is pokemon.

I like your idea, Cabaret! Honestly though, if someone can write a sexual situation in a Pokemon story, someone can write a violent one. Trust me, you wouldn't believe what writers will do with certain fandoms.

I'm having trouble writing my second chapter. I know what I'm gonna do, everything's in place, it's just that I'm having trouble wanting to write it. LIke, feel too lazy. Can someone igve me any tips to avoid this in the future, and to help me type it? I already typed part of it, just don't feel motivated enough to type the rest.

    Once again, I'm VERY lazy.
