It actually depends on how old you are. If you're very young (say, early teens or younger) it can alter your neural development. That's not to say that it's the same for everyone. Some peoples' brains develop faster than others, but I'd still say stay away from it until you're at least fifteen. And even then, don't go out and get wasted every Saturday night.

anyway, yes, it does depend on how old you are. i would stay away from alcohol until you're in your older teens. a sip is fine, but i even went a little overboard and usually every new year's eve i get drunk and pass out from all the champagne drinking :P and i'm like... what... fourteen? LOL. /bad influence.

Sorta, but not really. Sometimes I intend for a chapter to be shorter than it actually ends up, but they're really never that short to begin with. xP

for me, i try to make my chapter's more than 3 pages. for the most part, sometimes it's around 5 or 10, but recently i've been shortening them, especially in my newest story. :P i think it's just because i like short chapters xD. i put a lot of detail into them though.

Huh, I prefer longer chapters. Mine are almost never shorter than 14-15 pages. Some even get so long, they span over 30 pages, but I usually divide those into two parts. Plus, those chapters are only in my Fire Emblem fic. The ones in my Zelda fic are much shorter and don't usually get longer than perhaps 18-20 pages.

I measure chapters by word count (mine tend to fall around 4000-7000 words) rather than pages, as not everybody uses the same font/size. Twenty pages for me might be sixteen for you and twenty-three for someone else. In size 12 Century Schoolbook L, my chapters go about 9-15 pages, I guess.

Ah, yeah, that's true. I use Times New Roman for my font and a font size of 13. I just feel 12 is too small for me. In terms of word count, my longest chapters seem to be between 12,000 and 14,000 words. But as I said, these are usually divided into two parts. My shorter ones are normally a little over half that length at the least.

'Sup people. I've been around here for a long time, off and on, though I changed my name a few years back to reflect one of my favorite movies (The Big Lebowski). So. I may finally be writing a fanfiction, after years and years considering it. I want to be a writer, and writing fanfiction here, I have a place to get constructive feedback and improve my craft in a supportive environment (I hope?). I have a tendency to be crazy ambitious in terms of planning stories, to the point that the actual writing seldom gets done because I'm too busy building more and more plot outlines. So yeah, I've got a cycle of twelve fics planned, set in the same continuity, and a lot of them are DIFFERENT GENRES. I know for sure the first two are a police procedural about an International Police Force (basically, Looker's organization) solving major Pokemon crimes. There's a Western story, a kung-fu action story, a conspiracy thriller, a sort of dark fairy tale, and so much more. Why twelve? After the Chinese Zodiac! There's no special significance to that, I think, it's just fun having a theme. So, uh, expect the first chapter of The Bloodhounds sometime in the next six months, hopefully!

Ugh, my Internet has officially decided to annoy me, so I now have no Internet at my house, currently at my older brother's home since he has Internet that works. It will most likely be a while before I can post the next chapter in Irasshaimase Pokémon World!, but I think I can quickly post the second chapter now.

Anyway, I use Calibri 11, but I don't always know ho many pages each chapter is filling up since I use OneNote to write my fic. Usually, though, the chapters are around 6 pages long.

Well, now I feel like my chapters are short XD

I use calibari 11 and each chapter averages out at 3-4 pages, and word wise around 1,500 words......

Well, I guess my chapters are relatively short since I like to keep each chapter short enough to be read in one sitting :P

i use times new roman at 12 font :P sometimes i use something like arial or whatever, i don't mind what font it is as long as it's readable.

whoa, i love your story ideas the dude :o i actually have a LOT of stories planned but i don't know if i'll ever get to writing them xD.

by the way, how do you guys come up with story plots? for me, i generally get inspired by movies or shows, even songs. sometimes i have dreams of characters and i form their own story out of them. for example, the evil villain in my story "the devil's gift" was based on a nightmare i had one night.
