I've had a similar situation when it comes to movies, LightningTopaz. I once watched the last 30 minutes of the Hellsing movie and got nightmares from it. It's bad movie, in my opinion, and it's not even scary to begin with.

Haha, well, I belong to the group of people who really like horror movies. It's not that I love being scared but it's the whole sensation of feeling alive and how even when you know something is going to happen, even if it does, you still end up frightened by the scene.
Though I can only remember one horror movie that made it hard for me to fall asleep. It's The Exorcist from 1973, I remember being awfully frightened by everything, it was just terrifying.
I remember being afraid of going alone to the bathroom after watching something scary, man, strange times! xD
Essence of Life is currently on hiatus!
Glad to know I'm not the only one freaked out by movies
Same here.
Speaking of horror, we have yet to see a pokémon fic with horror elements (according to the workshop directory)
I've gotten nightmares from the movie Alien before, but that period was pretty short-lived.
The movie itself was probably the first movie that legitimately scared me. I'm generally the one who laughs through the whole thing.
I just plain hate horror movies/books.
I dunno. I've never thought about that before. Maybe. xP
I just know I enjoy building things in simulation games. Houses, parks, whatever. I tried playing games like Sim City 4 and Mall Tycoon 2, but I sucked at them. I kept running out of money in Sim City 4 and my malls in Mall Tycoon 2 always went out of business. I'd run out of money there too.
Horror movies rarely scare me, so I don't enjoy them much. I found Paranormal Activity to be laughable. The one movie that legitimately creeped me out, though, was the Blair Witch Project. Odd, because all of my friends who watch horror all of the time found it to be stupid. To each their own...
(That said, SLENDERMAN. OMFG)

@unrepentantAuthor; the local church's monthly newsletter has at occasions published stuff I've written. I was even invited to hold a speech in church (during a confirmation ceremony) about growing up, based on a speech I'd written (for the sake of writing). Even though everyone there know I'm a strong critic of religion :P
@Kelleo; I only play Sims for the sake of building houses, and in that regard Sims 3 had a thousand more customization options, so I tend to prefer that overt the second iteration. Gameplay-wise, when you actually play with your sims and that; that's where S2 is better than S3 in my opinion.
Also, there's a few simple tutorials regarding how to make a profitable city in SimCity 4. That, or you can do like me and just cheat to get the money (I play for the city-building, not the city-managing, so cheating money adds to my experience, it doesn't detract :P)
@Tophat Dragoneye; you should try playing F.E.A.R. At night. In a dark room. With headphones. You'll not be able to sleep ;P

I certainly wouldn't be able to if I did that XD. Are you speaking of experience if I might ask?
Here's a few tip on how to play a horror game from someone I know experienced once before:
- Make sure you're alone in your house.
- That it is completely dark outside.
- That there's a giant tree next to your house, with its roots right underneath the wooden floor.
- It must be windy, so that the tree and its roots will move, causing the floor to creak.
- Play with surround sound on.
- In worst case scenario, make sure there is someone you can quickly contact by phone or by other methods.
If by experience you mean incredibly fun, then yeah. I love a good horror game (or movie)!
As for those points:
1: At night (when I usually game) it's the same as being alone for me, as everyone else is asleep in the lower floors.
2: So yes, it's dark outside.
3: have a tree some ten meters from the house. Through its rather dead branches shines a street light that flickers. Been doing that for months.
4: When the wind blows (which it does often, I live in an elevated location), the entire attic (where I live) shakes and creaks. I mean, shakes. Like there's an earthquake, if the winds are close to gale force.
5: Headphones are better. More cramped and claustrophobic, the sound's directly in your head, and you can't hear anything else. You need closed headphones, naturally, not some cheap stuff that doesn't block sounds from the outside.
6: Human contact is for wussies xD

Very impressive, Llama! I continue to approve of your style~
As for horror: I am literally invulnerable to media designed to induce fear. I can calmly sit through most horror movies and games, in my experience. I don't usually consume them, since they tend not to interest me. One exception is the SCP Foundation. Damn, I love that thing... not because it's fear inducing, but because it is fascinating, not to mention delightfully creepy. *waits for Llama to say he writes for it and thereby continue his trend of surprising me with his concordant tastes to mine ;P*
i love horror stuff :o. i think stuff like that is cool.
@unrepentantAuthor; Thanks x)
And sadly, I don't write for SCP. But I've read some of it. And I've written some well-received creepypasta. Sadly, that was on a site that is now offline, and they only exist on my old. broken-down computer. Maybe I should write on on the missing creepypasta. Ooh, ideas are gettign into my head~

@unrepentantAuthor; That's seriously impressive - you've got every right to be proud of yourself. You too, @Llama_Guy;
I hate horror...I scare WAY too easily. But at the same time, I'm fascinated by it and the way that good horror has to really get inside your head without you ever realizing it, then pick you apart and play on all your insecurities. Sometimes I can make myself watch LPs of horror games, but very rarely, and only if they have someone commentating over them. Even then, it's not a sure thing. I know one guy who's style is good enough that I got through his LPs of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Penumbra (Overture and Dark Descent), and could even watch them at night alone in my room. But I once tried to watch an LP of Silent Hill 2 by a different person at noon on a sunny day with the windows open and the lights on. I got to part 3 (where nothing more scary than the giant cockroach things had shown up) and couldn't handle it anymore, and I STILL caught myself lying awake at 2am that night listening for monsters.

Thanks, @Feliciano;!
By the way, @unrepentantAuthor; have you played the SCP 87 game? Love it!
I played Amnesia and found it frightfully unfrightening. Silent Hill was so-so. It takes me a stare away from the computer screen to remove any traces of scare for me. Thank god for having a rational mind :P And yes, the irony was intended.
