While we're not-bragging about our writing skills: I consistently get maximum marks on all creative writing modules in English Language. That doesn't happen under the British education system. My writing has in the past been good enough that some of my persuasive writing written for English coursework has been published in the school quarterly newsletter even though my expressed views contradicted the school ethos. I've also had myriad comments about book signing from my Language/Literature teachers~

This is the first time I've ever admitted the above because it is only within the last week that I acknowledged myself than I have merit as a person and as a writer.

I'm no good with essays either. They're the only kind of writing that I stink at. I can do a fiction story, a poem, even a play, perhaps, but essays, no. Could never write particularly good ones.

And UnrepetentAuthor: I was actually talking about my web design skills rather than my writing skills...lol.

Okay then, let's change the topic. xP

Anyone play Sims 2? I think it's one of the best simulation games ever. Sims 1 is okay. Sims 3 sucks.

I played Sims 2 before, and I liked it quite a lot. (Looks at the shelf to be sure) Yep, I still have a copy of the game, might pick it up sometime during summer.

And if anyone is wondering why I think Sims 3 sucks compared to Sims 2, I've got several reasons. Firstly, it took away like everything I loved about Sims 2. The amount of FREEDOM. In Sims 2, you could create as many families, buildings, and even neighborhoods as you like. In fact, you can go build as much crap as you want without having to ever create a single Sim. And I'm actually more of a fan of building stuff than controlling families. I collected every expansion/stuff pack for this purpose, so I could take my building to the ultimate level. Of course, I still create and play around with actual Sims, because I like the aspiration and wants and fears features and all too. Plus, it's the whole point of the game.

Sims 3, it's like they just remade the first Sims, but with better graphics. You're back to having a single neighborhood, you HAVE to create a Sim before you can even enter it, and ugh. I like the amount of customization and the idea of having a Sim walk from house to house, but that's really it.

Next, I think Sims 2 had so much more new stuff to offer compared to Sims 3. Sims 2 brought aging, aspirations, wants and fears, influence, creating neighborhoods, neighborhood stories, and more. The Sims 3? The only thing that seems new is having Sims walk from house to house. The Sims 2 was a HUGE step forward from Sims 1. Sims 3 did not seem like as much of a step from Sims 2.

Also, I don't really like the way the Sims look in Sims 3. Maybe I'm just too used to their look in Sims 2, but...eh.

Lastly, I'm starting to think that Sims 2 expansion packs are better as well. Some of the Sims 3 expansions just look...strange to me.

I have The Sims 2 for PS2, funnily enough. It doesn't have quite the same freedom as the PC version, but I still enjoy playing it.

I do also have the PC version, but my laptop's not exactly a gaming computer.

Sadly, I have only ever played The Sims 1.

And I'm not afraid to admit this, I liked coming up with unique ways in murdering my characters, haha. At one point, you get bored, and then you start doing all kinds of crazy stuff. I also liked having the house haunted. :D

Careful, the Sims you kill might come back as zombies to get revenge. That happened to my stepbrother once...

I'm serious, a dead Sim of his came back to life as a zombie.

I wasn't aware that that could happen. I mean, I know that they can return as ghosts but as zombies? Maybe in The Sims 2.

Oh, I thought that maybe you had made a mistake or something. xP

Well, I haven't played The Sims in a long time. Though I feel strange eagerness to start up Resident Evil 4 again as I never managed to beat the game originally, I just quit and left it there. I'll have to do it from the start, though, the save data was apparently deleted from the memory card. ;_;

Sad thing about the save data @Tsutarja;. I've been in a similar situation with a brand new ps2 memory card somehow deleting my save files on my other memory card i have.

Anyway, I never play any horror games because I get nightmares very easily. Very easily. In fact, I've made an self-imposed rule when it comes to Diablo III, and that is to never play at any point after 8:00 PM. And it's not that scary a game, yet I fear for the nightmares I can possibly get from it.

Ok, back on topic with the Sims. You think architects can use the building system to possibly design houses etc.? Or has it been done before?

I know what you mean, Dragoneye--I don't even watch horror movies, I scare so easily. In fact Ghostbusters and Men in Black give me nightmares, even though those movies are not supposed to be scary
