Oh. I didn't see this anywhere in the rules. My mistake.
EDIT: Also, why did you delete my post? I could've just easily edited a link in there.

It was rather implied that that was how it was done, but I will clarify it. And deleting the post falls under our rules as you cannot reserve a spot, so someone else can have the opportunity to go first.

I never reserved any spots. I requested a review for a posted fic just like you did.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
User A requests for Chapter One of Story 1 to be reviewed. User B will then review it, post a link to his review and he can then request for Story 2 Prologue to be reviewed. User C can come along and review it and request his own fic, though he has to be quick, as User D wants to get Story 4 reviewed as well. It is a continuous game where you request for a story to be reviewed, someone reviews it and they make their own request and so on and so forth.
This is the gist of the game as it was posted. It was implied that you would have to wait rather than just continuously outright request. It would make no sense for a game where everyone just asks to review their fics. As you had not provided a link, it was like you were reserving a spot.
This is the end of the matter. I will edit the rules to make things more explicit to prevent this from happening again. You are welcome to make another request after you have done a review Kelleo, but if you want to discuss it further, you can do so in PM, not here.

I understand now. I never meant to "reserve a spot" or anything though. My apologies. I guess I just didn't understand the rules enough. This was my fault, not yours, seeing as I tend to not interpret things correctly, so don't worry.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
I need help with a little something in my story. A friend of mine was complaining that my use of Jack calling his Mom the "Mean Lady" was to much like one of her character boys using it to call his Mom the "Mean Lady." The difference is that her character Joey was abused by his Mommy and called her the Mean Lady. Well Jack has never truly met his Mommy but he knows her as the Mean Lady that abused Daddy.
I mean "Mean Lady" sounds like something a 5 year old would say and I don't know if I should keep it or try and find something else. And if so what?
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
Just checked out the Review Game thread.

With how small the Writer's Workshop is, that might be a bit bold a request. If someone is willing to Review and give a quality review, I don't think there really should be a wait limit. Just my two-cents. :-) Glad to see the idea has finally been posted, hopefully it'll jump start the reviewing here in full force.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
Considering the recent boost in activity here, I'd say it's fair enough waiting five turns before you can take part again in the Review Game (By the way, hope you didn't mind me posting the real link for it, @AceTrainer14;).

Well, you could say it is a force of habit of him to talk about his mother as a "mean lady". Other than that, if the stories aren't related in any way, I don't see any harm keeping it like that.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
@Gotpika: It is more to stop it from just being two people reviewing each others stories constantly or something like that. I think there are enough people to make the five turn thing work, but if the game goes inactive for like a month or something, than we will allow people to review again.
@Tophat Dragoneye: That's fine ;)
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
I love Chipotle burrito bowls. That is all.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
never had those type of burritos xD
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
She's referring to a restaurant, I believe.
They make bigger burritos than your intestines can handle, basically.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If Jack knows his mother as "Mean Lady" from his childhood, it's conceivable that it would stick and he would still call her that. I like it.
Also, yes, sounds like Akari is talking about the chain, Chipotle. Overrated in my opinion. Tasty, but a lot of my friends freak out over it like its mana from heaven. It's decent. Nothing special. Sorry, don't kill me, Chipotle lovers.
Re: Writer's Workshop General Chat Thread
I like chipotle but it doesn't exactly have a large menu. It has, like, 2 things you can get.

True, but that's sort of the beauty of it, IMO. You can get a burrito, tacos or bowl with the assorted ingredients just thrown together. But there are varieties in terms of what meat, veggies, toppings you want. They also sell chips, salsa and quesadillas and salads at the ones in Minnesota.
