Thread: Which one would you prefer?

So, currently i'm writing a story focusing more on the psychological development of my character.

BUT. (Yes, big butt!)

I'm having trouble deciding whether it should be Psychology/Action, Psychology/Adventure, or a combination of the two.

Which one would you prefer? Which one would you be more interested in reading?

Do not let your stories be dictated to you by the idea of genre. Go with what feels right in the stories.

If you're choosing between making your story one of two, or even more, genres, always make it a combination.

Action and adventure very often go hand in hand, why pick one or the other? Write not what the genre tells you to, write what you want your actual plot to be - where dose the character you want to write fit the most, which situations should he pass that would best portray the character you want to portray?

Genres are an arbitrary and subjective restriction. Limiting yourself to two is meaningless. Be idiosyncratic. Be free.

As with what GM said, I would like to read a story written well. Action or adventure seems like a meaningless boundary. Write the story, and let others decide what they'll call it.
