Wasn't going to do it, but changed my mind at the last minute.
Goal is 25,000, I'm at 8,145.
It's a weird science fiction/romanceish thing. Not what I usually write.

I somehow managed to reach 50k yesterday afternoon. But the novel remains unfinished. In fact, I'm only done the first page of the outline. THE. FIRST. PAGE.
For those that are behind: Don't get too discouraged. You can make it up! And also google up Write or Die. /plug
thanks parmalee and congrats. and can i ask how many pages are in your outline. please dont say alot.
Progress: I failed. At 6000 words out of 50000
It's gone midnight here, which means I have just over 47 hours left to finish. My wordcount is 44,789 right now so I should be OK. 5k in two days isn't too hard - I've done over three times that in one day before - but I'm flagging a little bit. Running out of juice, so to speak. I'll be going to bed now, because I'll need my energy for these last couple of days.
It's September now, so I think it's time to start thinking about this again.
I failed pretty hard last year, I lost interest about half way through the month. This year I need to finish for sure. Who else is going to be participating this year?
I wish I could, but college is awaiting me. ^^
Regardless of that, I have an idea for something original, non-Pokémon.
I tried last year, and failed miserably. I still like the idea I had for the story though, so I might dig it up and use it for a non-NaNoWriMo project.
As for this year, I want to participate, but as of yet I have no inspiration for a plot and I really just want to focus on my main story. I might do it next year, though.
Once again I will not be competing as I have too much on my plate right now, but I wholeheartedly encourage those who have time to compete. Completing NaNoWriMo in 2009 (was it that long ago?) was one of the biggest helps for my writing ability that I have ever had. It was the first time that I saw a large scale project all the way through to the end. It wasn't amazing, it certainly wasn't my best work, but it was decent (it wasn't disgustingly rushed) and I had finished it. 54k in 28 days.
Last year I was too stressed from college and being sick to get farther than around ten-fifteen pages. -_-
However, I may actually have time this year, so I'm considering it.
I have signed up for NaNoWriMo :) I had an idea for a Halloween story a coupld of weeks ago and then I remembered NNWM, so I thought I would enter and do my story then instead. It is the first time I have entered though, so I am pretty nervous xD
I'm thinking about participating this year. It would be my first year to do so, but I think it'll be good for me. I'm thinking I'm going to write my superhero novel I've had cooking upstairs.
I want to do this again this year. Only problem is that I don't have a cohesive idea yet and last year at least I had something then. :x
