Thread: Help?

I'm kind of a closet writer but not to brag, I'm a pretty damn good writer.

I always get top scores from my literature teacher on all of my works and I got the highest honor I could receive on my End of Course writing exam.

I'm attempting to write a novel about a character based off myself in the dawn of a new age.

I also noticed that I always write some of my best works whenever I put a pessimistic tone in it so it is more than likely to be very pessimistic in the beginning.

So yeah.... the one teensy weensy problem is that I need somebody that can kind of keep watch of me.

So if I could just submit segments to anyone that would be willing to review and critique it from time to time, that would be greatly appreciated.

Even though I am used to writing, I don't know how I will fare in this since I'm used to writing short, 200 word tales that normally don't require too much effort.

So yeah, I would send some segments of it from now and then and I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me along.

I would be willing, but let me just say that I think you should just post your fic here on the forum.

Even if you aren't experienced writing longer works, I encourage you to just give it a shot and post it here in the Workshop.

No need to feel intimidated. We have some talented writers, but everyone here is part of our little community within Bulbagarden, and we like to support each other. We will do our best to offer suggestions if you'd like. But I don't want you to feel apprehensive about sharing your work with all of us.

Your idea indeed sounds very interesting, and I'm sure we'd all love to see what you can do!

That being said, if you still feel more comfortable sharing it individually with someone, PM me. Although, again, I hope you reconsider and post your fic in the Workshop :)

Anyways, I'm going to try to scrap up an outline and a character cast first before I get started but I'll post the first chapter as soon as I get it up.
