Default Red G's scratches (new voltorb)

EDIT- I'll be editing this post with each new sprite so nobody has to read through all the posts

I have been "spriting" for about a month, but I've noticed the coolest sprites are always the scratched ones, so I have begun to scratch sprite. I am extremely new at this, but please critique me and don't just say it is good. Leave me some feedback on how I can improve please, I love constructive criticism

Hmm... some more "shininess" would be good on the Ditto, and if you could make the indentation on the right said of its face a little more subtle, I think it would help also.

Other than that, it looks pretty good to me!

Thanks so much for the quick reply, Master Mew. I am confused what you mean by "shinyness", but I redid the right side of ditto and I hope it has improved. I think this new one gives ditto a bit more personality.

Yes, that did help, makes it look a little more real.

By shininess I mean the white flecks where light is reflecting off of it. A few more of those accents strategically placed would, in my opinion, help to make it look more like the Ditto we all know and love.

Also, it might look better with ever so slightly larger eyes, but I'm not sure. You might give it a try and see what you think.

Its really nice for a first scratch, I think if you made another shade between the main one and the highlight, it would help it to blend in. Your style sorta reminds me of Jungleboooks, thats a good thing!

It's a wonderful scratch, though I just have to ask you this. Why not Ditto's original contour? But I guess that does not matter, coz it's ditto. I'm hoping to see more of your scratches. :)

Scratching Pokemon in the same pose as their official sprite isn't very original, its sorta copying... I think its great how you've made up your own pose.

I edited the OP to have new scratches included in it.

I made a new psyduck scratch, I'm pretty proud of that one. Although it seems the minute I post it on the interwebs I start seeing faults in it xD

Edit- forgot to thank everyone, so thanks a ton for critiquing my sprite. It really helps.

I love the Psyduck scratch, although I think he could do with a slightly wider beak, as this would make him look more like himself, but the narrower beak is original.

Thanks master mew, I prefer the narrower beak because I like to make my sprites a bit different than the game sprites. I like originality, I guess xD

I made a charmander scratch now, it's up in the OP. The flame was tricky on this one, and the middle section looks kind of bland, but that's because I did it from the back. Comments and constructive criticism is appreciated!

On the Charmander sprite, I agree with Junglebook that the arms might be a little low, although I actually don't think the body is necessarily too wide. One thing you might do is add an accent line for the top of the tail where it overlaps the body, showing the full length of the tail. That would also help make the back look a little less "bland" as you put it.

I edited charmander a bit, moving the arms up and thinning him down. It improved the sprite quite a lot, in my opinion. I tried to extend the tail, but it just never looked right.

I made a new sprite too, although it is my worst. It is Arbok using glare. I think I should stick with NFEs for a while xD

As always, criticism is welcomed (especially for Arbok!)

Not to be mean, but is it me or is the psyduck insane looking? Haha, that's actually a compliment.
Very nice, all of them, actually.
