Thread: Rate my splices and recolors!

Hello, everyone! I just downloaded MS Paint yesterday and have been trying out splicing and (in some cases) recoloring, and I'm going to show you what i have so far so you can critique them. Also, I'm a beginner, so some of them aren't as good as others. Here we go!

They are a good first attempt, but sometimes you really have to zoom in and work pixel by pixel. I've found that by changing just a few pixels that don't look right, the whole sprite can look much better.

But really they are good :)

How's this? I tried to do what you said, zooming in and going pixel by pixel.

I still don't like the neckline of this one. I tried my best to fix it, but it looks all wrong.

Your sprites are good for a beginner.

But when you splice, it's important to make the colors match. In your Poocheyena/Houndour, it looks off because the head and tail are mismatched from the body. Make it all one color. Recolor Poocheyena's head and tail to match Houndour's colors and see how much better it will look.
