Thread: charizardman's Sprite Section! Please Comment and Rate!

Hey, from time to time I'll be showing off my success (and only successes, for fails see my profile lol.) I'll be doing recolors for now, but once I get a hang of splices, I'll do them. So here is my first creation, Blastoise Colored Charizard!

Alright, back at ya with two more!

First off we have the better of the two in my opinion, Charizard Colored Seel!





And the other, is Charizard Colored Staraptor!




Lemme know what ya guys think, and I'll be throwing more at ya soon!

I really like the Staraptor

Nice work.

Make sure you always recolor the outline - there's still some dark brown on Staraptor where is should be dark green. Keep spriting, improvement will come with experience. :D

The recolors are by FAR better than the ones I considered "good" at the beginning of my short spiting career. As BuizelBoy said, the outline's a bit off in some areas, and this is just my opinion, some of the colors don't really match with Staraptor. Also, I'm curious, where did you get green from Charizard?

All in all, you're good, and all you can do is improve! Just keep practicing and you'll be a perfect spriter in no time!

And, there was no green on Charizard, that is a color from it's wings you see.

These are looking much better since you've recolored the outline, you forgot to do so on Pikachu though.

Yeah, the Pikachu was before I realized it would look nicer if I outlined it.

You're improving, not to be mean, but the first ones except for seel are kind of iffy. (sorry. XD)

I'm not saying you're bad, you just kind of have to teach yourself until you don't make mistakes. You should have seen my first recolor. XD

Can you tell me which ones aren't good?

Namely the Staraptor, due to the color scheme, and the Charizard due to the stray pixels on its body.

That's fine with me, those were my first, so I didn't expect them to be perfect. Any other ones?

They've all improved a lot since then. :D

Lemme know if you think I'm improving, or I'm getting worse, and this time, from now on, can you rate them on a scale of 1-5? I like knowing a number.

Recolor the outline to the other Pokemon, don't just make it totally black. That's the main problem with this one. Also you need to tidy up the loose pixels on the knees.
